George Floyd Protest/Riots

I don't believe that is enough. Everyone knows they're not going to walk on this one, even if the evidence were in the officers favor, they'll still be convicted because they already have been in the court of public opinion.

When will order be restored? When will the protestors and rioters be satisfied? Do they want to skip due process and hang them immediately in the town square of Minneapolis?

It sure does appear to be that way.

Looks to me like people want actual reform as opposed to one particular verdict

If a black person just got killed in a horrific way and people are saying “black lives matter,” and someone has the urge to insert themselves with some “actually, ALL...” BS, you should be able to see why that person sucks

Just got killed? What is the time limit on this thing? And do we switch the slogan by the hour or day? Because I am pretty sure that everyday some white, latino, and asian somewhere is suffering an unjust death.

“I have watched this week’s unfolding events, angry and appalled,” Mattis writes. “The words ‘Equal Justice Under Law’ are carved in the pediment of the United States Supreme Court. This is precisely what protesters are rightly demanding. It is a wholesome and unifying demand—one that all of us should be able to get behind. We must not be distracted by a small number of lawbreakers. The protests are defined by tens of thousands of people of conscience who are insisting that we live up to our values—our values as people and our values as a nation.” He goes on, “We must reject and hold accountable those in office who would make a mockery of our Constitution.”

And that will take time. Yet, the twitterverse has significant traffic discussing abolish the police.

Not the reform me or millions of American citizens want.

Well this is what I was talking about, so maybe I gave you too much credit

“Donald Trump is the first president in my lifetime who does not try to unite the American people—does not even pretend to try. Instead, he tries to divide us,” Mattis writes. “We are witnessing the consequences of three years of this deliberate effort. We are witnessing the consequences of three years without mature leadership. We can unite without him, drawing on the strengths inherent in our civil society. This will not be easy, as the past few days have shown, but we owe it to our fellow citizens; to past generations that bled to defend our promise; and to our children.”

LeBron James, Malcolm Jenkins among growing list of athletes tearing into Drew Brees's comments on kneeling protests

LeBron James, Malcolm Jenkins and Michael Thomas are among a growing list of athletes criticizing Drew Brees for saying in a recent interview that he still does not support NFL players taking a knee during the national anthem to protest police brutality, even as widespread protests continue in the nation sparked by the death of George Floyd.

“Instructions given by the military departments to our troops before the Normandy invasion reminded soldiers that ‘The Nazi slogan for destroying us … was “Divide and Conquer.” Our American answer is “In Union there is Strength.”’ We must summon that unity to surmount this crisis—confident that we are better than our politics.”

They absolutely do. That’s what Antifa and the ones rioting with them are about. The true protesters that had a legitimate purpose have now been marginalized and no one on the left will acknowledge it.

Why should she care ... at all. We've only got 9 years now left to live here on planet Earth according to AOC & other wackos on the left. Greta should live like a teenage girl & enjoy what she has left of it. After all the Earth will freaking blow up on it's on before too long.

Except it’s accurate. You told me once it’s a valid way examining an argument. You amplify something by 100 and then evaluate it.

Right now at this moment I am making an argument that is not a hypothetical. I've made other non-hypothetical arguments ITT. So it's not accurate. It's a complete exaggeration. Did you really need this to be said?

“When I joined the military, some 50 years ago,” he writes, “I swore an oath to support and defend the Constitution. Never did I dream that troops taking that same oath would be ordered under any circumstance to violate the Constitutional rights of their fellow citizens—much less to provide a bizarre photo op for the elected commander-in-chief, with military leadership standing alongside.”
