George Floyd Protest/Riots

Yeah. DUH. Welcome to Volnation.

I am a newbie, so I suspect I am walking right into a trap here and the joke is on me. With that said, there is nothing funny about a family business being looted, burned, and destroyed. Many of them are doing repairs on pieces that have been handed down from deceased parents or spouses, or have been in the family for generations. I will never understand how someone is willing to hurt someone else like this. And then I found out two different jewelers have been murdered. It makes no sense.

People just don't care anymore. We have reached the tipping point of what society can endure.

So far, the police have been unable to stop this. Now it's likely possible they have been given stand down orders by their liberal mayors.

It seems to be getting worse police are being targeted by people driving cars/trucks into them and over a half dozen were shot last night. It looks like with each night this is going on these terrorists are getting bolder in their actions.

It looks like it's only a matter of time before they start going after innocent civilians by doing home invasions. If that happens things will go from bad to worse as we'll start seeing assaults, sexual assaults and murder as people try and fight back.

Remember when it was bad to run over humans.

Science is, like, the worst. So many of these laws and regularities. It's opposed to freedom!

No it’s not , fear and panic is the worst . Being so afraid of something because you were told to be , instead of thinking , watching , waiting and questioning the ones doing the demanding is a sad way to live .

If the police weren’t killing innocent people we wouldn’t be having this discussion.

George Floyd did not deserve to die. Ahmaud Arbery did not deserve to die. Eric Garner did not deserve to die.

None of them were innocent. These riots are fueled by disgust over police brutality, which is not okay, but the victims of police brutality are rarely just minding their own business. It’s not that these victims are just making “bad” choices, they died while being apprehended (not that it was right, necessarily, in Arbery’s case) for crimes.

That detail should not be overlooked.

I do not understand what society "has had to endure". Seems contrived and instigated to me...and playing off of those who have made poor choices to now be able to victimize themselves instead of taking personal responsibility and stepping up and being responsible. Dangerous.

Insurance companies don't suffer from lots of claims. It gives them the green light to raise their premiums and they are always more profitable in the long run.
Yeah, I'm sure they won't jack up the insurance premiums in the "looty" parts of town because of this. Just out of the goodness of their hearts.

"Destroying businesses has no consequences because.... Insurance!"

-Brought to you by the party of the arbitrary $15 minimum wage and the indefinite Lockdown quarantine until infinity.

What crime did Ahmaud Arbery commit on the day he was killed?

So a LVPD cop is on life support. Bricks are being thrown. Buildings are being burned. Is this still a mostly peaceful protest? ...Was Charlottesville described as mostly a peaceful protest? The night riots need to be stopped. They need to stop putting cops in danger and arrest folks.
It's a peaceful protest if Democratic-Communist groups are protesting but it's a violent protest if it's Conservative Republicans and or Christian groups doing the protesting:rolleyes:
