Who is preventing education, denying jobs, housing, etc?
Here is where we disagree, ANY person can work hard and raise their status in the US, i just was reading an article about a homeless black kid in Florida that was abused and abandoned and he worked hard and is now valedictorian of his class and has a bright future. Anyone can do it
I think that depends on each individual case. Police overreach and excessive use of force should be examined on a case by case basis. Sometimes I think it is about race... but there isn't a simple, "one-size fits all" explanation.Would be needed and appropriate if it were honest. Police brutality isn’t a racial issue.
If the states don't act, yes. How many cops are we going to allow to get shot or ran over? How many businesses are we going to allow to get burned down? How many people are we going to let get beat to the point they are in ICU?
When speaking of police abuse, it is a poverty issue, not a skin color issue. But again, this is easier, that is complicated.
Romans 12:
9 Let love be genuine. Abhor what is evil; hold fast to what is good. 10 Love one another with brotherly affection. Outdo one another in showing honor. 11 Do not be slothful in zeal, be fervent in spirit,[g] serve the Lord. 12 Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer. 13 Contribute to the needs of the saints and seek to show hospitality.
14 Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse them. 15 Rejoice with those who rejoice, weep with those who weep. 16 Live in harmony with one another. Do not be haughty, but associate with the lowly.[h] Never be wise in your own sight. 17 Repay no one evil for evil, but give thought to do what is honorable in the sight of all. 18 If possible, so far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all. 19 Beloved, never avenge yourselves, but leave it[i] to the wrath of God, for it is written, “Vengeance is mine, I will repay, says the Lord.” 20 To the contrary, “if your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him something to drink; for by so doing you will heap burning coals on his head.” 21 Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.
Looters Grab $2.4 Million Worth of Watches from Soho Rolex Store
The looters of a New York City Rolex store did not get justice, but they did get a high price timepiece on Monday night.
Looters grabbed $2.4 million worth of watches after breaking into a Rolex store in New York’s Soho neighborhood, according to a New York Post report citing police sources.

A video shows a huge crowd of people running toward the store, entering it, and then leaving shortly afterward.

Not really with the risk or being burned out or burned up and being murdered in the street potentially by paid for rioters
So far, the police have been unable to stop this. Now it's likely possible they have been given stand down orders by their liberal mayors.False choices.
I guess that answer belongs to the citizens of those cities and states being impacted.
Think about what you are wanting to happen. If Trump does send in fed troops what's going to stop the next POTUS from doing the same even when there has been no violence?
From a certain POV, I agree. But it is far more complicated than saying that it's [merely] a poverty issue as opposed to a race issue. Listen to the cries of the AA population in America. There is genuine pain and fear there. Genuine. We can't sit back and say that there isn't. Whether the system is stacked against them (I refuse to say it isn't in some way), the genuine pain and fear means we have issues to take care of.
Table the discussion about whether the system is stacked. Table the white privilege talk, etc...
If I am going to live out my Christian values, it means living with empathy for others. Trying to see things from their perspective. So, if there is genuine fear and pain there, it means that we aren't done. There's work to be done.
And if we're to outdo one another in giving honor, answering their call that "our lives matter" with "all lives matter, get over it" is not the answer.

It seems to be getting worse police are being targeted by people driving cars/trucks into them and over a half dozen were shot last night. It looks like with each night this is going on these terrorists are getting bolder in their actions.
It looks like it's only a matter of time before they start going after innocent civilians by doing home invasions. If that happens things will go from bad to worse as we'll start seeing assaults, sexual assaults and murder as people try and fight back.
If things devolve to the fifth level of hell they will be allowed to do what they have to do. In the case of a street war i would have no problem with Soldiers shooting down paid rioters firing at them in the streets. Then the citizens in those areas need to nut up and stop it, demand their elected officials put a stop to it.
WTF do you think federal troops are going to do? They won't be given an ROE allowing them to open fire at will.
Chaos because Trump wanted the photo op at St. Johns. He is the $hit show that keeps on $hitting on people....

No one wants it happens. but it might have to happen. Who is to say that if Trump did not do it, another POTUS would anyway.
