Just passing this along to our Gallatin folks: I received a text from a family member saying that there may be a protest at Gallatin Square tonight at 5:30. Given how a number of protests have turned out, it may be wise to avoid that area tonight

I've heard the same for Spring Hill this afternoon.

They've been arrested at the protests, I'm sure they're just there to show solidarity with the family of the police victim though. Come on, you know why they're there as much as anyone. Quit pretending they're anything other than an anarchist political movement.

Apples and Oranges. Two totally different things when discussing protesters vs. rioters and two totally different contexts between countries. And what's your solution? Continue to let the rioters vandalize/ruin businesses already suffering from a recent pandemic? Attack/assault/injure other individuals?? Police Departments are stretched thin and undermanned. I'm uneasy about calling in troops too, but this cannot continue, yet it will until the ones rioting take a devastating hit. They continue to make it unsafe for everyone else. It has to stop.
