George Floyd Protest/Riots

I hope he keeps doing what he's doing because I think it's a good thing.

I hope he keeps doing it too.

Whelp just finished my coffee and caught up this morning on the thread.

And the news. Well seeing how many LEOs were hurt or even killed last night I’d guess maybe the need for federal troops will pass. Because the LEOs will be out for blood tonight. Any fool stupid enough to square off with NYPD tonight after watching that rundown video is just going to be natural selection in action.

I am gonna guess the LEOs are about ready to turn the knob up to 11.

Well, be happy VN. I've got liberals asking what the best gun is to buy for self defense. I'm not a gun guy, but I think a .357 is best. Easy to load, point and shoot, that kind of thing. I don't know **** about guns, but that seems the best against the coming hoards of GOP.

A revolver is a simple thing so that's not a bad thing. The other thing is the .357 can also chamber .38 Specials. I highly recommend you tell your friends to start with the .38's if that's the direction they take. Full on .357's can be intimidating for beginners.

There's a wealth of online resources for beginners. (including youtube) It'd be worth having them go through some of that information.

I think within the next week or so you will see US Soldiers patrolling the cities.

This isn't for me. I just want to give decent advice.

I would give that advise to anyone . They are no good to anyone if they don’t fit you and you don’t shoot them . I have a S&W 22 semi that it wouldn’t bother me a bit to grab just as easily as my 9 or 40 . It’s because I know where every round will go and she’s a tack driver .

I don’t. I don’t want to see anybody get killed here on either side. But I think we’re there now. It’s unreasonable to put LEOs in a situation where they can’t defend themselves and with last nights precedent setting actions by the rioters they just enabled a world of hurt back at them.

It’s sad that it’s so hard to distinguish the peaceful protestors from the instigators. The instigators definitely need to be spanked.

You know I thought it was sad when for 8 years all the right did was b!tch about Obama policy and then when they had control over all 3 branches they didn't do a damn thing about it. I think it's even sadder that for 4 years the left has b!tched and moaned about Trump but Biden is the best they could come up with.

I dont see a realistic end until someone applies some force.

Spanking in fine. Even rubber bullets if you’re a LEO but they still gotta adhere to appropriate level of force and due process. But I’m guessing many of them have had enough and are going to be, as a buddy of mine used to say, “spring cocked in the chapped ass position.”

Given what has transpired, the real protesters shouldnt be out after dark. I'm not trying to curtail anyone's rights, but they need to understand the situation. They are providing cover, at some point you're just being complicit in this.

While I think your point is correct from a common sense perspective you can’t mandate that. I have no problem with protestors ignoring curfew if they do it peacefully. That’s why its called “civil disobedience” after all. I’m all for giving the gov the finger in a non violent fashion.

In fact, you could say even if peaceful protestors are breaking curfew, they are inhibiting and complicit in the lack of ability of the police to arrest the agitators. If you are breaking curfew you should be considered a threat.
