George Floyd Protest/Riots

He was a crackhead though. Doesn’t mean I think the officer was right. If there is a child molester who is murdered by his neighbor, I can rightly say arrest the neighbor and that the molester is a POS

Wait do you think a crackhead is a POS like a child molester would be?

This is not a rae occurrence. WTF are you talking about. Police have been acting out of control and on an elevated level for over a decade. And I'm aware of the fact that the police are not just targeting black people. They are attacking citizens as a whole on some of the most petty of infractions and laws out there.

Your cynical comment about not arresting minorities and special zones is either you trolling or you really don't get it. It is really simple to understand. Don't kill a person when you arrest them.

The answer is simple. Police nationwide do not know how to arrest and detain people without putting the lives of the person in danger. Also, the police/LEOs have far more protection and special privileges when it comes to them assaulting or killing a civilian than normal citizens would have if they were engaged in these crimes. Lastly, the militarization of our police force, the wars on terror and drugs and the use of LEOs to drive revenue (writing tickets/citations) is out of control and it does not do anything to build a relationship between themselves and the people they are allegedly serving.
Weird. I’ve been involved in probably 2k arrests in my past career, and I never once “put the lives of the person in danger” I’ve seen some cases where the criminal did that

The really sad thing, the person in the maga hat thought it was a good idea to be in the middle of a riot wearing a maga hat.

Unfortunately, that would be called victim blaming.

Obviously, the guy has the right to wear the hat, but there are consequences for going to a riot in 2020 wearing one. That is not me justifying the violence against him. That is me just saying that one of the weapons a person needs for self-defense is wisdom.

Have any of our resident socialists here condemned the violence and riots?

I’m not a socialist, but I seem to upset our resident Trumpers and MAGAistas. I have condemned the violence and protests.

Wait....see how I painted people with a broad brush?

Empathy doesn’t have to be given to everyone either dumbass. That guy that broke into your house did you invite him over for dinner the next day? Of course not

If a guy stole my TV and then got murdered by a cop, yes I’d feel empathy for him. Your method is apparently emphasizing what a “criminal” he was and using that to let his murderer off the hook

Agree.

Amazing I have said exactly the same thing and the snowflakes immediately converged.

We know the media is the spreader of propaganda and is the reason why these people are empowered and encouraged to riot and loot. The media is the enemy of the republic.

Now what do we do about them?
Have more alternative media sources. Twitter and YouTube were doing awesome until they started to become political and censor others

I don't think he is letting the officer "off the hook." He has maintained all along that Ofc. Chauvin was clearly wrong for what he did and should pay the price for his actions. But he is saying that there is more here than just black and white.

Have you just ignored my posts about that I believe the officer was in the wrong? But it also doesn’t make Floyd some saint that was wrongly arrested either. He played a part in his own death too especially by ingesting the drugs
