I know. That’s what I’m saying. Back when I worked that area back then there was good response time and that was with only 8 officers working the East District. Now there is half that many officers because the last two mayors have cut back on officers and required them to be more “hands off” on gangs, drug addicts and homeless people.I wasn't flipping houses 20 years ago, Ricky.
Copper wring being gutted. Had some rental equipment stolen. Had one incident where I was spending insomnia nights working where someone came in thinking I wasn't there which was awkward. Closest I've ever come to shooting someone.I know. That’s what I’m saying. I am curious Dink, what theft/robbery incidents did you have? I mean that seriously not being a smart ass with you
Sucks that happened to you, sounds a lot like the arbery case where a bunch of the lib posters were telling me it’s no big deal that people wander into other houses.Copper wring being gutted. You referenced an obscure article from two years ago. Hence my question. What was the previous source/basis of your position?
The argument is that most people don't take nonviolent protests seriously.Because he is a clown.
Not sure what you're trying to argue. Peaceful protests work. Americans generally get behind good ideas and defeating evil.

Parkridge used to be one of the best neighborhoods in Knoxville until the 1990s hit. Just be thankful you weren’t south of Magnolia near Walter P and Austin homes.
This is the kind of **** that fuels more unnecessary divisiveness. There are legitimate arguments to make that systematic oppression exists. This is 100% not one of them.
When you accuse someone else of being a racist then it is hard for them to turn and accuse you. It is popular to accuse white people of racism. Some do everything they can to disprove it - hence the term white guilt. There are those that take advantage of it. I am not saying there isn't too many instances of racism like we saw in Central Park or the Floyd incident. I believe some of it is sensationalized. When you get people to believe it's true then it becomes true.
Not necessarily obscure. There have been shitloads of studies done on the statistics of police procedure with different demographics. Same kind of studies that have helped me form the opinions I have.
Here's a shiny object for you to play with. Only took one search and three clicks.

Interesting.
"Due to the decentralized nature of policing in the United States—and a corresponding lack of comprehensive and standardized data—it is difficult to rigorously assess the manner and extent to which race plays a role in traffic stops . The most widely cited national statistics come from the Police–Public Contact Survey (PPCS)1 , which is based on a nationally representative sample of approximately 50,000 people who report having been recently stopped by the police. In addition to such survey data, some local and state agencies have released periodic reports on traffic stops in their jurisdictions, and have also made their data available to outside researchers for analysis. While useful, these datasets provide only a partial picture.
Got any real data? Such as, from the DOJ? Or would you rather stop now?
Eh, it's my opinion though. Not yours. We all have our own experiences that form our opinions.
It's not in review as far as I'm concerned. Someone like me doesn't need validation from someone like you.
I am not trying to convince you of anything. If you can't provide facts, what are your experiences that will substitute? And to be fair, I am totally in agreement that personal experience can be a basis for a position, though that is subject to thorough examination which can lend itself to an introspective of reality vs. perception. We're getting ahead of ourselves with that.
Please, in lieu of facts, provide your real-world experience as not only a catharsis, but as solid argument for your position.
Side note, I need to get some sleep and I am travelling in the morning, but if you respond proper, I will find time to get back to you soon. Good talk. Good night, man.
