George Floyd Protest/Riots

TFB.The quickness at which they were charged and arrested occurred at an unprecedented level. It is what it is. Chauvin is locked up as he should be and they better hope somebody didn’t **** something up by doing this with such haste that he will he get out of this.

They want to go ahead & just bypass the whole trial part. They want the officers dragged out & strung up to the nearest tree that's available. They've all decided all of them are guilty & should be hanged now .... not later.
The old saying "we want blood & we want it now" is today's motto. "Eye for an eye" thing. Now ... not later

I understand why people are so angry. They should be angry, the action of Chauvin is completely unacceptable at best. At some point though, rational thinking is going to have to come to the forefront and the time for appeasement and justification will have to be tempered. The instant gratification of this quick result will be massively outweighed if mistakes have been made during the process and this guy walks on a technicality.

Assembly, speech and association was seen as such an instrumental part of our country, it's right was codified in the Constitution.

Your ignorance is breathtaking.

The concept of "What are we protesting for" is completely lost on you isn't it?

They're not going to let him get off on a technicality. He has no chance of being found innocent. If he isn't convicted of some degree of murder they know there won't be a Minneapolis left after the rioting that causes.

Someone posted earlier about autopsy results? This happened just this past Monday ..... I was told that autopsy results take months to sort out all the data of what's happened in a person's death. So I don't think this has been released yet.

True, but you get my point.

So now King Obama is threatening to unleash the "unlimited power" of the military upon civilians.

The Founding Fathers are rolling over in their graves.

Yeah, tell us about the Whiskey Rebellion.

The Whiskey Rebellion was a 1794 uprising of farmers and distillers in western Pennsylvania in protest of a whiskey tax enacted by the federal government. Following years of aggression with tax collectors, the region finally exploded in a confrontation that resulted in President Washington sending in troops to quell what some feared could become a full-blown revolution. Opposition to the whiskey tax and the rebellion itself built support for the Republicans, who overtook Washington’s Federalist Party for power in 1802. The Whiskey Rebellion is considered one of the first major tests of the authority of the newly formed U.S. government.

Late stage capitalism
--Vapid consumerism is the only functioning thing in some communities -- This is what they attacked--

"...the only form protest can take is meaningless violence. Perhaps this is one of the main dangers of capitalism: although by virtue of being global it encompasses the whole world, it sustains a ‘worldless' ideological constellation in which people are deprived of their ways of locating meaning."
"...they also contain a moment of genuine protest, in the form of an ironic response to consumerist ideology: ‘You call on us to consume-- while simultaneously depriving us of the means to do it properly – so here we are doing it the only way we can.’

"--free **** you dumb ****"
