Chances are we will probably lose 1 or 2. Maybe. I will say this, if you are on Twitter and follow a lot of UT stuff they do seem to be pretty excited about coming here.

Here's the deal as I see it, 18 year olds can and will change their minds but alot of our commits seem pretty solid especially the ones I've had the pleasure of speaking with, yeah we may lose a couple, some may get recruited over, or some may be told to look around but this class will be a good one

There will be at least 3-4 decommitments.

Some of these will be by the player and some will be from our staff asking them to look somewhere else.

I have to admit that BVS does kind of have me waiting for the cup-check moment that I fear is coming.

Perhaps it isn’t this time, but after so much in the past 15 years I’m making sure mine is on just the same.........

I think we may hold on to the big names at the top depending upon how we start the season, we can illafford another start like last year... However if we start out strong with a win or hard fought game against OU, beat 2 out of the big 3, Fla, UGA, and bama. My bet is we hold on to most if not all.

Its funny that up until 2017 I never had an issue with Georgia. I always liked Mark Richt and their fans didn't seem bad at all to me.

But now its like they invented football and are experts on everything football. It cracks me up that because of the teams success, all of a sudden they think they need to come here and share their knowledge and tell us what we need to do to improve. Smh.

I hope we keep all and add some more, but just as we flip some to us, we may lose a couple. A winning season will help

CJP and his staff are doing a great job of selling the Tennessee program digitally and there is an excellent article in today's News Sentinel about how CJP and his staff are recruiting during this pandemic.

Georgia. Underachieving since 1933.

As far as the O.P. Things will change. It is only May. Alabama will not stay ranked 53rd in recruiting forever. The Tennessee class will change whether a top recruit flips or a 3 star is asked to look elsewhere. Nature of the beast. But I wouldn't worry about once campuses open. Tennessee's campus and facilities are top notch. Our campus will be open too.

I'd rather have a top 5 class in May hoping to hold on to them than be ranked in the 30's and wondering how we're going to get in the top 15. I think dividends are coming in for relationships being built over 3 years rather than over night. This should be expected and not a surprise.

Georgia fans have been insufferable lately no doubt. I would even say they've been more insufferable than Florida fans and that's saying something right there.

so yeah...it'll change. that doesn't necessarily mean it's for the bad....i think the floor for htis class is top 10.....

Which guys are you thinking if you're willing to share? I really don't keep up with that kind of thing very closely.

And if you look at the recruiting rankings over recent history... consistently in the top 10 has been enough to compete at the highest level when you have good coaching to go with it. Clemson did all of their damage before having a class ranked higher than #7. But Dabo knows talent and has developed players very well.

I would always rather be trying to keep other programs from poaching our committed recruits than to have to poach another school’s commits just to get a recruit.

One of the rules in Vegas...never bet against a streak. Vols finally have some momentum and that’s a good thing to have on your side. They likely won’t keep them all, but I suspect we will be pleased.

I honestly don't think we will lose that many unless they get recruited over, which is bound to happen based on the current numbers.

Regarding the current recruiting rankings;

Bama damn sure won’t finish 57th, Oklahoma won’t finish 47th, Auburn won’t finish 48th, Florida State won’t finish 41st, Oregon won’t finish 24th, LSU/Georgia/TAM/Texas likely won’t finish outside the top 15.

With so many heavyweights seemingly biding their time, there will be a ton of shuffling. Unfortunately, everyone's current commit list is ripe for picking with Saban and Bama sitting out there with only 3 current commits and a smirk on their face.

Nonetheless, I like Tennessee’s approach. There’s no biding time or waiting to see how everything shakes out, it’s all offense, all momentum, pedal mashed to the floor right now. It’s worked and I think it’s smart. But I also think the commit lists for everyone will be more erratic than ever this year with everything being so condensed and unique.

I also think more kids may wind up staying closer to home this year than normal, if the virus issues are still front and center in a big way.

No one really knows but I would rather be the one holding on to the commits instead of the one chasing them.

here we go..........someones nervous and cant understand our current advantage. we are more likely to sign them if they are committed, get it? we all know that kids will change their minds but we have a greater chance than any other school, with the currently committed players, than every other school in the nation. now, its up to Pruitt to produce on the field. if the recruits see a team that is developed and knows their assignments, then chances are good that all committed players end up signing. if recruits see another Ga State and BYU, expect some, if not all, of those recruits to take other visits. We have won the off-season with these recruits. Whether or not they sign, will all be based from on-field production. but for now, we are winning.............which is better than not winning. enjoy it
