I think that's the big question with this class and other schools to. I believe once campuses open up and recruits can be brought in for visits we are probably going to see a lot of flipping. Remember these are 16/17 yr olds who flip flop on a daily basis. I believe TN will still end up with a top 10 class but may not be with all the recruits that have committed as of today.

If we do lose some I feel confident the staff will be able to flip their fair share come December, January and signing day.

Its a fact now that good players want to be here. With Kamar Wilcoxson leading the charge I think there is a real energy amongst the new recruits where they literally want to build a new dynasty here.

No class on NSD ever looks identical to what it looked like in May...for any P5 school.

My post is not intended to be a downer at all. As I said, I believe it will be a great class, just with some changes. Just posting a realistic question for discussion. Monitor, delete this if all its going to get is negative responses attacking me.
There is no room for realistic discussion. Just parrot what everyone wants to hear - 15-0 and National Champs.

I'm not sure it's really that much of a discussion. No school's signing class ever looks the same as it did it May

Nope. I’m calling it right now: Everyone decommits. UT goes winless. Every good player transfers.

Right. These boards are much better when they're full of people parrotting the same things.

Speaking of parroting..... you seem to whine a lot.

You are asking the wrong questions...the question you should be asking is "WHAT HAPPENS WHEN WE ARE FULL AND MORE BIG PLAYERS ARE WANTING TO COME TO UT?"

If our recruits can bee flipped that easily then so can everyone else’s, so your point doesn’t make much sense.

I have what I think is a better question. Can Pruitt make the right moves and IMPROVE the class by December? Even if he had 25 committed... he would continue to recruit guys who upgrade the class.

Truth is that flips make a lot of noise but they really don't happen that frequently. Most guys take their commitments serious and develop relationships with guys on the team and their classmates. There are almost always signs when a guy isn't going to stick. He'll detach from other guys in the class. He'll develop relationships with other programs and recruiting classes. Fairly obvious stuff.

To answer your question without attacking, the class will change. We will lose some of the higher rated players, we will recruit over some current commitments, and we will sign players currently committed to other schools.

I do think you will see more flipping this year than normal throughout the country...

this.

and no, this class won't look like it does today, come december.

it will change, the ranking will move...and it'll all be ok. i do like the make up so far of who is committed. they all seem really active in peer recruiting and promoting Tennnessee...........so that's a good sign. iow, they don't seem like the types that are just reserving a spot while looking around.....and you're correct, those are usually easy to spot, especially after some time.....

they way i see it is pretty simple...we stand to have another big weekend so if all that works out like it's supposed to......we'll have 21 commits...4 spots left...and 8 months til signing day....and there are more than 4 more kids that a) want to be in this class and b) we're gonna continue to recruit. so no way that holds up. and i think if we're gonna ask some kids to look around, pruitt will try to do it sooner than later so the kid has as much time possible to find a new landing spot.

you can kinda already tell which "commits" are maybe on the way out just by their inactivity on social media etc....no congrats or anything to the new guys, no nothing.....

so yeah...it'll change. that doesn't necessarily mean it's for the bad....i think the floor for htis class is top 10.....
