Tom McMillen was an interesting guy. He played on the 72 Olympic team that lost to the Soviets controversially. He was a Rhodes Scholar, and eventually ended up becoming a US Congressman. Really high draft pick coming out of college.

But yeah, he was basically a career journeyman center in the NBA. Not bad, but not remarkable either.

Bad analogy...

1st. Several of the best basketball players are all-time are big men (>6'11"). The most dominant player in the game today is a big man.

2nd. If you talk about the greatest pitchers ever and start with Nolan Ryan, you should immediately be barred from all future baseball discussions. No one with any credibility has ever claimed Nolan Ryan to be the GOAT.

3rd. Look at Bob Gibson's 1967 world series and tell me that the guy wasn't the best baseball player on earth during that particular series.
Gave u a like for Bob Gibson reference! Dude was great, they lowered the pitching mound because of him.. Dadgumit, Drvinner beat me to it..

I did not realize this til I saw something about it last night, but the total idiot in charge of the WHO isn't nor never has been any kind of doctor. That is very odd to me and further shows what a total farce that organization is.

The World Health Organization used to be much better...or so it seemed to me.

Tomorrow, Texas has lifted the ban on elective procedures. Wednesday is my normal hospital procedure day. I have a full day of procedures already set to go.
I will hold on as long as I can. But I will quickly return to the past...I was expecting the future to be more somehow.
I’m about to be in same boat as you. Cardiology group that I have dealt with in the past wants to “discuss some things” Thursday. This will be my third job. Not a lot of spare time. Cardiology has always been my dream job though.

The reason I became a die hard Vol despite spending most of my early life in the Texas panhandle is because of the Sugar Vols.

That team was not the most "talented"..but they were mentally tough, and despite facing great adversity all season...they just fought back over and over.

Jauan Jennings is that team personified...he may be my favorite Vol ever. Not the "greatest" by a loooong shot..but my favorite nonetheless. A guy like that could be invaluable to a team trying to escape the dregs.
