Toughest pitcher ever faced was about 6'3" and lefty. threw 3/4. everything was on a long arc. just away, away, arc. 🤦🏼‍♂️

Hitters that always talked said Smoltz had best pitches, Maddog's pitches never stopped moving. But, most feared pitcher, was Tommy Glavine. That circle change 😧

Testament to having a perfect delivery and throwing motion. Every pitch looked same. Cut that fastball in or out, then throw an 88 mph slider or 80 mph changeup. Thats why hes in Hall.

My interpretation of hitters saying that Gibson was intimidating is the fact that they thought their life was on the line every time they stepped up to the plate. I don't think Glavine ever inspired that kind of fear.

Like I said, he's not ready to be unplugged and is so hopelessly dependent on this message board, that he'll do anything to protect the illusion of its existence.

Volatil did this to me. I am hopelessly addicted to Tennessee Volunteers football. If only the government would legalize the Volunteers and all they stand for....

Wait the Vols are already legal and I have been hopelessly addicted and thriving on my VFL ideals for decades! 🤠

Other than the sill top 2 you have, which is completely foolish by I digress... I don't think big men should be in the discussion on a list of greatest of all time. Big men are specialists. I compare them to pitchers in baseball. When you talk about who the greatest baseball player ever, no one should say Nolan Ryan. Nolan Ryan might be the greatest pitcher ever, but he isn't the greatest baseball player ever. He's a specialist.

The same is true with big men. Shaq was phenomenal as were Kareem and Wilt. But they were limited. They were specialists. Big men have a specific role that they play. They are rebounders, shot blockers, and they are tasked with controlling the paint. Men like Shaq don't take shots outside of 10 feet. While they are of course extremely important and they are great players, they are so limited that you shouldn't be comparing them to MJ. They should be in a class of their own imo.

Guards and forwards shoot the three, they drive the lane, they shoot jump shots, they dunk, layup, they block shots, rebound, play defense, they do it all. Shaq isn't shooting threes or jump shots. Heck, the dude couldn't even make free throws. Whereas Magic could play all 5 positions at an elite level, could you imagine Shaq trying to run the point? It should be a different discussion for them imo.
Anybody that can watch The Last Dance and still think losahbron is the goat are too stupid to argue with.

Jordan would never quit in a championship game...hell any game for that matter. He may not have won, but he would never have laid down like Labron does on the reg.

I’m in favor of limited decriminalization of marijuana, but not other drugs (especially meth). The highlighted statement in your post is just inaccurate. Although it obviously isn’t stopping everyone, prison is still a deterrent for the majority of the population.
You're wrong..lol.

Then we need more education and opportunities for rehab. I agree meth is terrible, but users will use regardless. That is what you're missing.
You are right. I hate drugs with a passion, but all criminalization does is take pathetic addicts and make them desperate criminals. It is useless.

To be clear..I absolutely hate drug use...I try every day to help people get free of them. The utter hopelessness that criminalization breeds into the equation is one of the biggest impediments to recovery.

I know what the hell I am talking about.

I was going to respond with, "“I know this steak doesn’t exist. I know that when I put it in my mouth, the Matrix is telling my brain that it is juicy and delicious. After nine years, you know what I realize? Ignorance is bliss.”
And then I noticed your join date, which is almost exactly nine years ago o_O

My first Vols game. It rained so hard that entrance ramps to highways were flooded. It was the first time in forever that the band didn't form the T before the game.
I was there too. We came up from Florida to visit my pappaw for a few days who was close to death from cancer. A family friend had two tickets and gave them to me and my brother.
