That has a lot to do with it.It can be if you want it to be though
Its all about culture and how various ethnic groups approach conducting their own lives and raising their children.
What are the demographics relating to poverty?
You cannot say this unless you're part of the black community. That has a lot to do with it.
In the black community, and probably other poor communities, govt has replaced the father by incentivizing and supplementing single motherhood , which has shattered the traditional nuclear family and thrown the black community into a worse quagmire than Jim Crow.
I took a sociology elective at UT back in the day called marriage and family. It laid out pretty much how certain cultures view how their childrens lives should be shaped and what their future lives should be like. Asian and Whites generally encourage the nuclear type family with an emphasis on finishing education, finding a career, then getting married and having a family. Hispanics were more geared towards getting married and having kids as early as possible, education and career goals were low on the totem pole. Like you said though black culture didnt really encourage the life aspiration hierarchy was like get pregnant accidentally, take care of kid(s) as single parent, male role models are brothers/cousins/uncles, never finish school, work multiple jobs, rinse repeat. That has a lot to do with it.

No idea what that means. If it gives you hope, that's good enough for me
If that is the case (they are not dumbasses), then there would not have been a need for the state to shutdown church services because they would have done the "smart" thing on their own, correct?I’d guess that it’s because they’re not dumbasses and would prefer not to die.
I can't follow this right now, but did you apply the same death rate from the general population to those dying of Covid? Those folks dying of Covid have a much higher probability of dying due to being old or preexisting condition. That possible CV doesn’t mean CV death. But it allows the CDC to test their models later. There are a lot of people dying at home without a CV test. Ideally their blood will be drawn for serology testing but I don’t know if that’s happening.
As for counting positive CV test deaths as CV deaths, it’s immaterial.
During an epidemic you can’t easily evaluate every death in detail from a CDC standpoint. So if you die following a positive CV test, they count you in their current statistics.
It is a minor bias that allows them to handle large amounts of information in a fast paced process. A bias that is likely overwhelmed by the deaths that are not being counted.
Mortality rate in the US is 874/100,000 per year. We’ve had 6 weeks of CV deaths. Assuming all 500k cases had CV that whole time and could have died of CV or other causes (very conservative because 400k of those have only been cases for 2 weeks), you would only expect 500 deaths non CV deaths. Instead we’ve had 19,000. That’s less than 3%.
If you do the less conservative math of 100k cases for 6 weeks, 200k cases for 2 weeks, and 200k cases for 1 week (better tracking case progression) that drops to more like 200. That’s 1%.
Making an issue of this is just a distraction. It’s immaterial and streamlines the process during the heat of the epidemic.

Its not included because chicks taking that as a precaution dont know if they are pregnant or not.I kind of doubt that statistic, if "morning after pills" would be included. Although, I don't see where that data would be attainable.
