I agree. The 1st amendment argument with respect to religion is pretty weak here. I’d also add that, for me anyway, the church is not a building, it’s the people and until they are singled out and restricted from actually practicing their religion or have one imposed on them, the government is likely in the clear.

This seems like a straight forward application of the Smith case, except here the state's interest is even stronger and the restraint more minimal and temporary.

All I know is I need to make a trip to Lowe’s or Home Depot and there will be a million people there.
I drove by the Lowe’s in Hendersonville yesterday and the parking lot was totally full. I guess I’ll find me an Ace Hardware

I think the one in Hendersonville closed. There's one in Goodlettsville.

Ace and True Value is where I go for any basic hardware. It's the only place I go for proper instruction. If the choice us between some pimply faced doofus and and old fella clad in overalls, is there really even a choice?
I agree, but the Ace in Mt. Juliet closed a while back now my choices are Donelson and Gallatin

What you consider to be church and what others do could be different. Plus even by your standard of church is also prohibited because these orders also don’t let groups of more than 10 gather. I never expected you to be good with government stopping people from going to church.
I understand your argument and reasonable people can disagree on this. Some people are extremely passionate about a church service being everything. Personally though, I’ve worshipped virtually in 3 Holy Week services this week and been in contact with numerous families in my role within the church. Church hasn’t stopped.

Unfortunately it did. The owner had several locations and when he sold out the new ownership closed several of the locations.... Hendersonville and Mt. Juliet are the two I know for sure. Do you live in the H’ville/ Goodlettsville area?

In Hendersonville. The one in Goodlettsville is on Rivergate Parkway near Dickerson Rd. It was open last month. I lived in Springfield and it has a great Ace.

The Springfield Ace was another one of the locations owned by the same guy that sold out. Apparently, the new ownership closed those that were underperforming.

So to confirm, you are in favor of the actions by the governor of Kentucky?

What a shame. There was an older man in Springfield who knew plumbing, electrical, carpentry, etc. He talked me through a lot of home repair issues.

Oh. Then I guess it’s a real shame that Trumpists spent the last three years arguing that only criminal actions constitute an abuse of authority.

Since this isn’t criminal, I guess we’ll have to wait on Democrats to criticize Beshear.
Solid

Not likely to criticize one of their own.

That would definitely be against the constitution then . A government blocking you from attending a church ? Imagine an Alabama governor trying that at a mosque .
That’s different, libs are all about protecting rights of Muslims but Christians are evil so they can screw off.
