If he’s healthy enough, I think it’s great. There’s really no need to stay overnight if you’re healthy. I typically work in a hospital but once a week one of the surgeons I worn with does one total at a outpatient surgery center that I help with. He’d do more but they’re not yet equipped to do more than one joint replacement a day. What is your take on outpatient hip replacement surgery? My brother was supposed to have one of his hips replaced this month until the virus shook things up? I had never heard of outpatient hip surgery, but apparently it's an option if you're healthy enough.
The whole thing was a stunt. McConnell was just putting them on the record. He knew he didn’t have a prayer.Welp congress is only proving themselves to be more incompetent today as they now grapple with adding $250B to the already depleted Small Business portion of the stimulus package. The story is on both Fox News and CNN. From what I have gathered the White House and Republicans in the Senate were on board with adding the $250B but it was then stopped by Democrats. Why? Because they wanted to add $150B to go to state and local governments, money for hospitals and that half the money be steered to community lenders to ensure undeserved communities are getting loans.
1.) If this is for small businesses why in the world are we adding $150B to state and local governments?
2.) Why are hospitals getting grouped in with Small Businesses?
3.) Money steered to community lenders to ensure that undeserved communities are getting loans? GTFOH just like the Kennedy Center we all know that money is not going to go which is Small Businesses who need it.
Once again. Put your damn special interests aside and actually get to helping those who are in need!
Nothing like being hit several times by Gov needs. It's not free after you turn 65. They take a hundred and some dollars out of my SS check. They charge me almost $40 for a prescription drug policy, and my Medicare Supplement policy is about $140 a month. So, my "free healthcare " is about $300 a month, and I don't use it. I go to a pay clinic, and pay by the year. I like the doctor.
Why do other countries have Universal Healthcare, but somehow, some way, we are unable to make it work?I don't see how you can make the claim that Healthcare should be devoid of profit when it is a field that is filled with people. Should those people be wage slaves? Should the billions spent on medical research be done out of the goodness of the human heart?
Medical care and housing are both considered human rights in the South African constitution. You know what South Africa doesn't have? Decent housing or Healthcare.
You can't just declare something a human right and watch the oceans part. If it is provided by people, it can't be a right, and is subject to the tenants of the free market. Thinking otherwise is like plugging the power strip into itself.
Healthcare stock rose because Medicare for all is a fiscally infeasible idea, and the risk of destroying the Healthcare system dropped when that dummy dropped out.
Joint replacements very rarely need immediate medical treatment. They do however have a huge quality of life improvement. I should know, I work in total joint replacement surgery.
And I wasn’t saying they’re equal, I was just giving my own personal example. Also I don’t think the Canadian system is perfect but in the long run it’s better than what we have here. Rich people here get the care they need while poor people put it off. In Canada those rich enough come here while the poor people wait. I’ll take waiting everyday over putting it off. But that’s just me.
Nashville has an Interfaith medical clinic that I believe offers dental services, too. The one in Knoxville does, at least, and they actually fix teeth, not just pull them. It’s designed for working people that don’t have insurance. Probably worth your time to give them a call once the world goes back to normal.Murfreesboro. Why?
That guy has issues.

She's not wrong. I think the overreach on this is way over the line and unconstitutional, and my opinions on that have nothing to do with educating how to combat this on a personal investment level.
But, we are a nation that cried separation of church and state. And church cannot be a part of schools, government, etc., in any way shape or form. UNLESS, the Gov (Feds, State, or Local) wants to tell a church if, when and how they can meet. You either have guaranteed civil and religious liberties or you don't.
Thanks. I’ll check it out.Nashville has an Interfaith medical clinic that I believe offers dental services, too. The one in Knoxville does, at least, and they actually fix teeth, not just pull them.
