I've taken 5 and loved every minute on all of them but 1. It was on Costa Cruise Lines a few years back. The places we stopped at were great but it was an older ship and the food wasn't as good as the others. If/when I take another, it will be on Royal Caribbean or Norwegian. Took our honeymoon on Norwegian and gained 12 lbs in a week!I didn't need any more reasons to never take a cruise but thanks for another!
I never thought I would like cruising..we have always been a Northern Rockies, Desert Southwest kind of family...well pretty much the west as a whole in all it's spectacular glory...till I went on one last year. I would not wanna do it all the time, but it was a lot of fun...especially St John USVI...my gosh I love that Island. Not that it would ever change your mind, but modern cruise ships are like floating cities. Massive. Close by Tennessee standards, but roomy by city folk standards.

And speaking of Trousdale County, one of their hospital workers died from the stinkin virus today.Update on my "scientific" excursion today. Rode out to a couple of fairly large farms near the Wilson/Trousdale county line today and talked to a couple of guys re: black bear. the first said he hadn't seen one yet but had heard a few stories. The 2nd said he had saw a couple within 30 or so yards from his barn recently but had moved before he could retrieve his phone and get a pic. I told him he should have it on him at all times and to send me a pic for proof! Said he didn't know details on how many were released but said he TWRA rep told him that a few were released near there last year.
It’s funny how in critical times, you see the best of people and the worst of people. For example, the tornado has brought out the absolute best except for a couple bad apples. By and large almost everyone I see is cautious and there is very little traffic is on the roads.
But the worst is the social media shaming. I’ve seen it a bunch (and even detected it a few times on here), but it’s now hit home. My wife buys me a Baskin-Robbins birthday cake (which was brought out to her car). She posts said birthday cake on IG since that’s the closest thing to a party I’ll have. Second comment is passively shaming her. Can’t I have a cake for my birthday without some jerk-wad taking offense? C’mon people. Have some common sense and think before you cast judgement. Let a man enjoy his mint chocolate chip and chocolate Easter egg birthday cake cause that’s pretty much it.
