Latest Coronavirus - Yikes

Welp, that's why so many people think he's a moron.

Fauci has been wrong a lot. In late Feb. he stated the normal influenza season was a far bigger concern than C19, and that risk to Americans was miniscule. In the same timeframe, he and Birx stated they believed the data from China.

That's the advice Trump has been getting and explains what the left terms "downplaying" or "ignoring" C19's potential severity.
He has listened to them, and maybe he shouldn't have.

What business is letting infected employees come to work?
Many companies wanted employees to show up come hell or high water. The company I retired from was ahead of the curve. The policy was if you're sick don't come to work Three or four others will be out if you make them sick.

Quite the brilliance there. Was this like NASA or something?

Trump has moments of responding very well and articulate and answering the question great. I’m like, this is great, he’s presidential and singing others praises in public. It really is excellent leadership.

And then other times I’m just like WTF is he talking about? He’s barely coherent or putting together a clear thought.

It’s weird.

Gotta take the good with the bad with that guy.

I thought the only way to test positive was to be infected. Terminology doesn't really matter though - .
So he is "infected", but his only signs are a slight headache and sore throat (which he doesn't disclose) and a slight cough (no fever).
That's the reason for precision in my reply to your other text. Some test positive but show no indicators of infection. As such, you could work beside someone who isn't "infected". Also, others can test positive with very mild symptoms...like allergies (since it is that time of year) for instance. That person could be infected and simply assume it is something else and unwittingly expose others.

Fauci probably doesn't think it is a helpful medication.

I cannot think of a single person who would not want this drug, or combo, to offer a real alternative for people who get CoVid-19. But, as a scientist Fauci is waiting on sufficient evidence to make a call one way or the other. There are double blind trials going on as we speak, we should have some meaningful results next week on whether it really works.

Fauci knows this. Fauci would have said as much had Trump not stepped in and blocked him from answering. Its not a question of whether its good or bad, or whether we want it to work (of course we do). But Presidential wishing is not science.

And twiddling your thumbs during a pandemic, in which you crippled the economy, isnt useful.
