I am not a die hard leg humper or whatever you want to call it. I did vote for him, warts and all. Put Kushner up against Peter Navarro, however, and need I say more?

As another poster brought up, I do wonder if countries are using different methods of reporting deaths. This is an issue in the infant mortality rates around the world, they are difficult to compare because countries use different definitions.

I saw an article a while back saying some countries were reporting them differently. It said Italy for example was counting it as a coronavirus death if a patient died that had the virus. China on the other hand was only counting deaths it considered directly caused by coronavirus regardless of health issues.

So I'm guessing a patient that has lung problems or respiratory issues that died in Italy would be called a coronavirus death. In China, possibly not.

Admittedly, that is only one aspect of judging the response, but since most of the government response now is planning for future events, it’s hard to say how effective it’s been except to look at how effective known aspects have been and listen to the people on the receiving end of the response.

From my understanding we are approx 2 weeks behind Europe, so we should be able to address it mid April, which falls in line with our projected peak.

No one forced any company to go overseas. Most federal regulations began in the 1930s and 40s so Clinton did not start them. Companies moved out of our country because the third world labor rate is 1/6th of US wages.

By that metric a country might not count those who were infected but died of a gunshot to the back of the head, as virus-related deaths.

I doubt Italy would go that far as to count that as a coronavirus death.

But if a patient had bronchitis, emphysema, copd, breathing difficulty from previous disease, ect, or some illness that required them to be on oxygen maybe those are counted as coronavirus deaths in Italy, but not China.

I was not talking about Italy of course. Or even China. No, China reportedly just locks them inside their homes or apartments and comes back after a period of time to see who might have died. It has been suggested, however, that executions could be happening in North Korea and that would not surprise me.

Same. NK has no infections because coronavirus is scared away by the greatness of NK.
