Latest Coronavirus - Yikes

I’ll do it if the price is right. Problem is that companies don’t want to increase wages that attract Americans, so they resort to foreigners who have less opportunities and can pay them less as a result.

Because our borders are open for desperate people looking for an opportunity they won't get in their home country

Seems risky. My wife owns a practice. Loan is forgiven as long as you dont cut head count or wages, but if you do, then you owe it.

As I understand it, that would be pro rata. So if we lose one employee, then we pay that part back at 1 % interest. We would not be firing anyone.

She should also be prosecuted for insider trading. That is as clear cut as it gets. She took advantage of non-public information.
I thought she claimed her assets were in blind trust. Was that ever confirmed?

$18M is a lot to most people. I don’t get why she would risk it for that though. They’re worth like $500M...

Now post the stats about their mortality rate and the they tests administered per capita. They tested early and often, and started doing it in January while we were trying to wish the virus away.

Testing didn’t play a big role.
strict isolation and a high amount of icu bed to person ratio. Germany has a 6.1 per 1,000 r and we have a 2.6 per 1,000.

Also not having a version of the cdc helped.

First of the week the youngest kid’s boss/owner was saying gonna have to lay you off like I just did everyone else since biz is so slow. Fast forward, today that boss says no layoff, calling everyone back in but even less hours across the board because I’ll (boss) be working shifts to cut expenses since I got laid off my primary job. The boss/owner just snagged the new small biz virus money.

Boss was originally doing lay-offs so the workers could at least draw UI and was just going to run the store alone since customers are nonexistent now.

Wonder how often we’ll be seeing that crap happen so small biz owners get to pocket any excess cash.

I disagree, testing is critical in mitigating the spread because it can identify those who test positive but have no symptoms who might otherwise think they are fine.

I agree with you on the Person to ICU Bed Ratio. I saw an article on this, I forget the exact numbers but I'll take your word for it.
