Latest Coronavirus - Yikes

I see, but the question I was responding to was how to manage a potential crisis of people being out of work, who are not currently on any assistance, and not able to buy food.

The existing food stamp programs seem to be a good place to start, was what I suggested.

Yeah, I was just pointing out that it got expanded with a monthly benefit increase and the eligibility requirements got relaxed. More folks will qualify now so that’ll help considering the new bills pumped money into the program.

The rest of my list was just a heads up in case folks don’t know what’s either currently available or coming on deck as soon as both of those bills become law. I believe it’s 15 days after POTUS signs a bill.

More than 50,000,000 Americans over the age of 65. We will round to 50 mill.

If this kills 100,000 of just people over 65, that is 2 out of every 1000 over 65.
that most likely had poor health to begin with -- I see these in the obituaries every day and well before COVID started

I predicted 45,000 as my worst case about 2 weeks ago. That looks to be wrong.

My point on Fauci and all the leadership involved on this is that not a one of them wants to dare be on the wrong side (under) with their prediction.
Correct. Physicians are in the business of covering their butts. That doesn't mean you shouldn't listen to them, it just means that they will prepare you for the worst case scenario of a prognosis and focus on any possible complications first. They don't speak in absolute terms and they make no guarantees. This will often be at odds with a politician who only wants to accentuate the positive at all times (Trump).

We'll lose 100 grand. I know it doesn't look that way but you'll see it in the next three weeks.

That may be on the very low end. It’s looking more and more like there is strong evidence of two strains, the second of which is not as age discriminate as the first, and likely has a higher mortality rate. That’s why there is such a large discrepancy in the numbers from area to area. They believe the megalopolis and NO are seeing the second strain and the west coast states are experiencing the first strain.

Should be a good episode tomorrow. If you got an Alexa device just ask it to play the latest episode of the daily podcast

Sad to see Cusack doing the Greg Louganis into the crapper with his career...

Are you saying that John Cusack's sentiment will be unpopular among his colleagues in the entertainment industry? I don't think so. The reality is, an actor who shows support for Donald Trump like Vince Vaughn did, is taking a much bigger chance with his career.

LOL hell nah... who cares about his "industry colleagues"....those who buy tickets pay his salary. He's proven to be just another insane Hollywood leftist.

Those are the film producers and casting agents. Actors who want to be hired for movie roles care... or at least they should. Has being an "insane Hollywood leftist" ever hurt Robert De Niro's career? How about Meryl Streep?
