Can only speak to here but restaurants up here are largely open but not to dine in traffic. I did a curbside pickup for lunch today.

Not a deflection... Was only saying that the possibility exists that not all information is included in in the Intel briefs, and there is a level of discretion of the topics included. That would be more of a fact than an assumption, per the wiki.

Of course she knows about CV-19, but that doesn't mean she was given a thorough briefing initially. It doesn't mean she wasn't either.

She doesn't look a day over 70. I think Botox can create such conditions, but so can alcohol. I guess she could blame either, if she felt she needed to.

He's the President. When he downplays the seriousness of the virus, people listen. He quite a bit more time trying to talk up the economy than he did making the public aware of how serious the threat was. Based on what he was supposedly told by the experts, he should've been aggressively addressing the potential shortfalls in medical equipment in January or early February at the latest. He should've been pushing the public to start practicing containment measures around the same time instead of pushing a "business as usual" message to protect the economy. Once the experts started saying it was too late for containment, and we needed to look towards a strategy to mitigate the spread, he continued to push a message that the virus was contained.

I can continue for quite a while on the various ways that he totally botched the response to this.

I was trying to make the point yesterday that numbers aren’t “good.” They used to be good in NY 4 weeks ago when there were only 17 cases in NYC and none in the rest of the state.

Made the same announcement here in Bama last week. I suspect most states will be doing this. The school year is over.

Dude. Trump should have banned ALL Asian travel in December. I know, when he banned travel from China the left derided him as a racist (how easily they forget) because there was no reason to do it according to them.
Then he should have asked all hospital administrators in all lib cities if they had adequate supplies to deal with an Emergency. Then ask the mayors. Then ask the Governors. Then ignore everything that they said (they said they were fine in reality) and begin to prepare. Trump is implicit in underestimating democrat run areas absolute incompetence.
