those are good numbers....my brother said that Mississippi is higher in mortality but lower in total number cases.....Georgia is close to 5000 cases and 150 deaths. Mortality rate is holding right at 3%

probably not to the magnitude that the president and vp does. Some things the speaker of the house does not need to know.

Mortality rate really is useless without adequate testing. People are recovering before the test results are back and most don't even get a test

Sure, it's Wiki, but it gives a good overview of the Gang of Eight, of which Pelosi is part. And no way in hell do I think Pelosi would keep quiet if Trump was shutting her out of intelligence briefings she's legally mandated to be part of. Would not happen.

In what way could his response been improved? The CDC was offering to go to China and assist. They were denied several times. The CDC set up passenger screenings in ports of entry once it was known the virus spread through person contact. He was briefed with his team on Jan 26 or 29 and gave them unwavering public support and confidence. International travel restrictions were put into place. Decisions on shelter at home and essential-only services were left to each state or local jurisdiction.

true. we do know that the infection rate is about to skyrocket because of the lag in testing and now testing availability. It was reported that there were 840 deaths today in the US.

Agreed. It was expected and announced very early on the severity of the symptoms would vary. Some would even test positive with no symptoms at all.

Some examples in there of things being left out of the briefings. I personally think this admin might do the same. As far as Nancy making a fuss, I suppose she's not be able to make a fuss about something she does not know.

But again, all speculation on my part.

Now that the entire state of Florida is locked down starting I think Friday, I’ll probably be getting even less hours. Do restaurants stay open for take out on a lockdown? Does that vary from restaurant to restaurant?

At this point, you're just deflecting. You can't tell me Nancy Pelosi doesn't know about the Coronavirus. If that were true, she has no business being a politician, let alone Speaker of the House. She's been briefed.

Hotels are under staffed and running skeleton crews, too. The travel restrictions and shelter at home is creating issues for hotels.

It varies here where we live in Norfolk . Most have changed their operating hours but are still open for take out . We also have a huge amount of delivery options now .
