Heck, we've had martial law declared 9 times, just since WW2.
Purposes mostly of protecting the public at large or our folks on the front lines.

To me, it's huge that the federal level is "guidelines", while states are reserving the individual rights to policy. Basically, even tho the cause is new, this is standard operating procedure, from my view.
Like Gigger, love there's an ability to debate and views/concerns expressed. But my infringed upon alarm hasn't been activated anywhere near the level as the laws that have been passed for no better reason than "because we wanted to".
Those concern me waaaaay more.

I always thought that your constitutional rights are limited, and felt that a good rule of thumb is that those limits are reached when your rights significantly infringe on the rights of others. For example: You have freedom of speech, but you cannot tell lies about someone to hurt their reputation. You have freedom of religion, but you cannot practice human sacrifice. You have freedom of assembly, but can’t just assemble on someone’s doorstep at 3:00 AM without their permission.

Arresting this preacher is definitely a slippery slope. At what point does exercising the freedoms of religion and assembly in this case infringe on the rights of others? And what’s next? I don’t agree with anti-vaxxers, but are we going to arrest them too? I know for a fact that as precautionary measures during this pandemic, jails and juvenile facilities are releasing some folks that have done some pretty horrible things and present significant risk to their communities. Yet we are gonna lock this guy up for holding a church service that people attended of their own free will?

The government takes that right from people every day. You have the right to conduct your life as you see fit. Everybody else has that same right. Go outside, stay in your house...it's all your choice.

Doing a little check in from NC, I’ve had to finally send my remaining work force home. So as of Today at 9am I have 88 people on paid leave.

We have a group coming in tomorrow to Sanitize our buildings and offices. For that, I’m paying them Double time.

Anyone that is in a similar situation, please take the upmost care of your employees cause not only do they appreciate but their families appreciate it.

Can’t tell you how many of my people families have reached out and said Thank you, and my only reply is “No, thank you and please be safe”.

So to all my VOL family, please be safe and take care of one another. These are times that we need to lean on one another, well from a safe distance anyways.

Take care of yourselves VOL NATION.

well. it wouldn't apply for that as it's currently constructed. nor would it for the flu....or any other treatable condition. you're just making stuff up at this point, and makes no difference to the actual reality of this specific situation.

"unprecedented"

key word in all this.

Why wouldn't it? Emergency is a very subjective term.
