Latest Coronavirus - Yikes

Just wanted to give you a shout out. I couldn't sleep last night and sifted through this thread starting with Bham's OP. You were early in on this thread along with some others. I was impressed and the information you guys were finding and bringing to the board. In hindsight, much of it was prescient.
It was also interesting to look at the responses in real time as news was coming out. Even LG had some good posts before things got partisan.

I think they key will be to always remember VBham ruined the world.

Elaborate. Plenty on here continue to prefer Trump to her. I would like an explanation why. Obviously, this is a massively, astronomically larger failing than anything associated with Benghazi.

Trump had all the warnings in the world about what was possible and he played golf. That was just as much an intentional act as deleting emails. He had all these warnings and said to all of America that it would go from 15 to zero cases. There was no support for that statement. That was a statement he knew full well was false in light of the information he was receiving. Again, an intentional act that falsely allayed the fears of millions, leading to a lathargic response that is now killing us.

Edit: And you wanna talk about emails that won't be there when oversight comes knocking. I'm guessing there will be more than 30k WH and executive branch emails that vaporize. In fact, we know a lot of the communications are already taking place off of government servers (see Kushner stories).
The WHO lied about it. China lied about it. I wouldnt call that all the information in the world. Pretty sure Trump shut down air travel before the WHO declared an emergency. Someone check me on that tho.

Heck even after Trump came out with measures many local and state leaders were out there preaching the opposite. Again hard to call it all the information in the world when those below you use false information for their own political ends.

Trump could have shut down air travel Jan1 with total isolation and more people would have still died to this than Benghazi. You were even against Trump shutting stuff down.

It's a disease. It's going to run its course. Benghazi was a completely avoidable event that got blamed on a video.

No doubt which will impact our country more, but as far as a direct failing of an individual benghazi was far worse. But that's an issue of scale, small misses on a global scale is going to have an impact far greater than a big miss on a building scale.

You trying to make this comparison is absurd.

He dismissed it. He wasted time and didn't prepare. He said things would be open by Easter. Just stop the deflection and admit your President is a lying sack who is more interested in his TV ratings than helping people.
I think he said he hoped that things would be open by Easter. He's an optimist, not a whining, crying, moaning, piss in your pants pessimist like yourself.

No, I was incorrect. You are a fool for defending Trump. Tomorrow I will be right about Pelosi but you will still be a fool.

Putting your trust in anyone in congress right now as being morally superior to Trump is ignorant at this point. They all showed their hand with the stimulus bill which was that they have their own interests at heart instead of the American people. Even when a global disaster is taking place. They are all despicable in my book.

Pelosi is not the president. She's one senator of 100. Trump is the president and quite deserving of his criticism. He lies constantly and gets caught. He makes a fool of himself on Twitter. He is not a leader. He ignored the info of our intelligence community because he thinks they are a part of a deep state against him. He was more worried about the economy than being honest about COVID. He is morally (and usually fiscally) bankrupt. Keep on defending him if you choose but at this point doing so makes you look like a shill.
When did Pelosi become a Senator? You are more ignorant than I realized.

Dude people were dying all over China for a month before it got here, the response by this administration appears to have been completely reactionary after it was too late. Obviously hindsight is 20/20 but to say "no one knew" is bs.
The WHO lied about it. You know the ones who are supposed to be tracking this stuff and impartially reporting?

Reading through this thread last night from page 1, I was surprised at how ho hum the initial response was. All this dire stuff was coming out of China through social media. Xi was giving assurances left and right it was under control. The WHO had to issue a formal apology for not taking the threat to the world serious enough at the start of this. Even learned China denied entry from our CDC to assist at "ground zero" in the first few weeks.
By the time it was publicly known it could be transmitted person to person, the cards were dealt. There was no going back.

You are giving presidents way too much credit for control over the economy. In both directions, and to both parties.
The policies the left pushes are not business friendly and will hinder any recovery. They'll push all the "green" stuff, which will cost businesses even more, probably result in fewer jobs, and probably put some people completely out of business. Of course, that will lead them to increase entitlement programs, which they'll love, resulting in more people reliant upon the government for their livelihood. But that's all JMO.

But they did spend time coming up with witty racist names for it, like "Kung Flu." Are you expecting the leg-humpers to just ignore that achievement?

Your brain is ate up with searching for ways to make everything racist . FYI.. KUNG is not a race .
