Latest Coronavirus - Yikes

It was declared a pandemic on March 11.... two weeks after calling the media a hoax.... No one knew what this disease would be or do..... shutting down the world is a huge step with dramatic consequences
nope...nope...nope.....WHO wasn't trusted, now they are trusted. There were warnings and signs way before WHO declared Covid-19 a pandemic. With everything going on in Europe and Asia, those were not red lights? Everyone knew and was warning him. Saying no one knew is a falsehood....don't repeat that. Just say you didn't know because they told you everything would be alright.

Yeah, Stew, be careful with that idea. If it wasn't built to hold gas, it won't have the ability to safely let expanding vapors vent due to pressure / temperature changes. No point in freaking your neighbors out with an unexpected mushroom cloud, right?

Pffft.... What fun are you.

China/ Wuhan was a red flag which is why we suspended travel to/from which if memory serves correctly your side called it racist and made fun of the decision.... Italy is one of the most hardest hit places and didn’t shut down till somewhere near the middle of March...

I don’t think the media has been fair to Trump, but at the same time, Trump brings a lot of it on himself.

That said, it’s a futile game to defend Trumps position on almost anything he says because there is a tweet/video for everything and every stance. He literally can’t walk back anything when there is proof directly from his Twitter on what he said.

Those on the right need to just admit they love the trolling, not the politician and leader.

I judge a president by his actions and have been on board with most of his actions..... I don’t care about these press conferences, what he says on Twitter, or anything that comes out of any of the politicians mouths.

The virus is not his fault. He owns the response. You cant put the response on anyone else but him. It is amazing that his supporters absolve him.of any and all responsibility. Hillary's emails was nothing more than a red herring. There was nothing in her emails that was classified. If she broke the law, she would be in jail. There are people in government now that continue to use private ate email. Where is the outrage for them? Hell, donald uses an unsecured phone to make calls. Are you outraged over that as well? I've always said that the emails was nothing more than a distraction to go after her. If it was so important, wouldn't the Republican controlled house, senate, and doj go after her? Not a peep.....

You're wrong about Hillary's emails.

PolitiFact - FBI investigation undermines Clinton email defense

She didn't get prosecuted because she's Hillary Clinton.

Trump has made missteps. I've never said otherwise. He deserves criticism for those missteps. But he does not deserve all the blame you're trying to heap on him. You want this to be all his fault. It's not. Lots of people screwed up, including him. But you want to single him out while ignoring all others. Why? Because it's politically expedient, that's why. If a Dem handled it the exact same way, you're mouth would be shut. Your defense of Hillary shows that. And trying to lay the blame of people dying from this virus on anyone is pathetic. Hindsight being 20/20, better measures could have been taken, but blame for this virus and it's spread doesn't fall on any single individual. I suggest you pull your head out of your ass and realize no one, be they Republican or Democrat or even Trump, controls nature.

And what did Trump mean by this? Was he suggesting that Democrats were overreacting in order to tank the markets and hurt him politically? Because in retrospect, he has adopted many of the recommendations that Democrats were making early on. Including an extension on the period of social distancing guidelines.

Trump has told an assortment of lies during his press conferences and downplayed the threat of the Coronavirus to the American people from the start and he depends on his followers being just as ignorant as he is. On Sunday, while Trump was disputing a statistic by Yamiche Alcindor, he claimed that Seoul, South Korea had a population of 38 million people which is ridiculous. It actually has a population of less than 10 million. If Seoul had 38 million people it would be the largest population of any city in the world... and any idiot should know that it doesn't. For the record, Tokyo has a population of 37.4 million.

Context is definitely not your strong suit

Size of South Korea compared to New York

The simple truth is, he shouldn't be on Twitter. He just shouldn't. I understand there are people who love him "poking the left in the eye", but his ass should not be on Twitter. And he absolutely has diarrhea of the mouth. He talks too much, brags too much, and deflects too much. His biggest problem as President is he opens his mouth. If he'd just shut up and let his actions do the speaking, he wouldn't be such a bad POTUS, but his obnoxious arrogance won't let him keep quiet. I agree with you that his actions are what really matter, and on that front, he's not done bad, but he is his own worst enemy by constantly running off at the mouth and giving his critics something to attack.

All of that said, actions should speak louder than words. His actions are not near the level of incompetence his detractors would like to paint them as. He just needs to cut down on the talking.

There is no metric in which Seoul, South Korea has a population of 38 million people. There is a metric in which Tokyo, Japan has 37.4 million and I cited where it can be found. You are just arguing for the hell of it and it's annoying.

It is apparent that Trump looked up Seoul and confused a number listed in reference to it's elevation with it's population... which is just stupid.

It is apparent that you not only convieniently leave out the fact that South Korea is around the size of New York and nearly 70% of the land is uninhabitable.

I ca agree he's not the ideal person for the job. Where we would disagree is I think he was the lesser of two evils and a better choice than Hillary. I would say back to you, if the left took off their partisan glasses, they'd see Hillary as the corrupt, despicable person and politician she is rather than screaming "right wing propaganda!" and defending her, still to this day. America had two bad choices in 2016. One of them had to win. America will have two bad choices in 2020 as well, but at least one of them won't be Hillary.
Which is why I would have preferred Kasich in 2016. He ran a 50/50 Democrat/Republican state and was fairly well-liked by both sides.

when is she going to jail? If they were so bad.....when is she going to jail. They were life or death. No one is above the law, even the Clinton's. Just maybe the emails were not that big of a deal.

He dismissed it. He wasted time and didn't prepare. He said things would be open by Easter. Just stop the deflection and admit your President is a lying sack who is more interested in his TV ratings than helping people.
He was more dismissive of it than he should have been, but so were other politicians, including Pelosi. Do you not think she receives intelligence reports as well? So why aren't you condemning her Chinatown actions as well? Multiple politicians dropped the ball, yet you're singling one out to blame. I get it, he's the President, but you're lying to yourself if you say this isn't political. It's absolutely political because you're choosing to criticize only one side.

... until this year.

Surely this was meant to be in blue font. He has been an abject failure and an embarrassment to this country.
No he hasn't. He's been far from perfect, but not an abject failure. That's politics talking.

And that's fine but Kasich didn't win the primary. Our choices were two turds. Each side put one up.
