nope. you can stand on a corner and do it. so long as you're at least 6-8' from the next closest person and you're not actively gathering people in to a group to do it.

or you can get on line and preach what you want to however many people that will get on and watch/listen.

you just can't hold service with a congregation like it's business as usual......
I think you totally missed my point..this situation right now is what it is, I just do not want some kind of precedent set from this where the government starts telling us when, how and what.

i think we're good? i'm not mad at him, and i don't think he's mad at me? if so, sorry, not the intent.

he's obviously concerned.....and i'm just trying to give him reasons to not be .....hopefully.
:)

if not, aplogies.....
Lolol...I wasn't mad at you, I just know that giant rockslides are usually started by pebbles.

Says we aren’t distancing, kids are still in school, and we have no shelter in place mandates. Also, these models are the worst case scenarios. They have better case scenarios but won’t share those. Fear drives clicks and clicks equals $
I don't think that's the case here. I looked just yesterday and the numbers looked reasonable. I think their algorithm looks at trends. We were hopping along. Adding very few cases each day and our deaths were low, 13 yesterday I believe. We almost doubled our deaths in one day and added significant amount of cases today. I think the numbers are out of wack because of this. I think it will average back down a bit in the next few days.

Appreciate that, but my boss has already got hold of some equipment somehow..he is a really good dude. Thanks for the offer though.

Good stuff man, glad to hear it. Would be better if you had one of those shields like in taxis and cop cars but I'm guessing that your passengers wouldn't love that and neither would you.

Also want to let everyone know that a lot of liquor companies are using their alcohol to produce hand sanitizer. If you know anyone that works for EMS, police or hospitals then encourage them to reach out to distributors or distillers and ask for donations. If that doesn't work, my company can place large quantity orders.

no one does...

i just don't think you skip to that being the result of all this ultimately, w/out taking in to account all the context....

it's a giant leap to go from "covid 19 meausres enforced"....to....."freedom of relgion is now revoked."

that can get dangerous, if it goes unchecked.

Lolol...I wasn't mad at you, I just know that giant rockslides are usually started by pebbles.
we all do.

but, isn't there a really giant boulder driving this right now? this covid thing isn't a few pebbles starting a new movement in the US, where we're going to revoke 1st ammendment rights...

it's the giant excepiton to the rule....what is happening is compeltely unprecedented in our time.

it's ok, imo, to take unique actions for such a unique thing in our modern history.....

I was surprised that they had us ending up with about 1/3 the deaths of New York. Given how many cases they have already, it seemed questionable.
We cannot compare ourselves to NY. That would be stupid because the climate is completely different. NY is mostly NYC where millions of people live on top of each other. There is no place close to that in Tennessee.

Consistency in freedoms are key. Inconsistency means you dont have the freedom. If this goes without fight, they'll do it again for any reason.
context.....this isn't some political movement trying to change our way of life.

it's one of the most unique issues that's presented itself to humanity in modern history.....

so if that kind of situation requires equally unique measures in response, i think we're up to task to handle it accordingly, w/out upending the bill of rights in the process.

basically, i'm not worried about my God given rights going away as a result of this. no one should be.....

You say he broke the law......hmmmm., if that statement is true then I have a few questions. Were the thousands who gathered at beaches over the weekend in Maryland and Virginia breaking this same law and should we investigate to find out and round them all up as well? There are HUGE differences between mayors and governors issuing Safer at home mandates, orders, whatever they want to call them and actual laws passed by councils, legislatures etc.

To me, here is the most warped and saddest thing of all. Most all states have issued mandates, executive orders, etc for all clinics and hospitals etc to stop performing all elective surgeries for now, yet judges in Ohio and Texas in particular yesterday says this doesn't apply to abortion clinics. So lets stop going to worship God but continue killing the unborn by the thousands each week. IMO

Bash-ear talks a big game...but that huge Louisville slaughter mill is running full go.

And for the record, I think the pastor holding services right now is stupid. But if he can be arrested , charged and released under a half-million dollar bond, what about the 1200 people who attended and gathered? Aren't they just as guilty of breaking this "law"? They all attended the service/services and gathered under their own free will and are just as foolish as the pastor. So let's round all them up and charge them as well for endangering the public. Huuuuuge can of worms to consider here.
Exactly..

Apparently you haven't driven from Murfreesboro to nashville lately.

I think some of you are choosing to ignore the slippery slope we've stumbled upon. An overreaching government can be dangerous and oppressive, and is something our FFs fought against.

Slippery slopes are full of fallacies. Watch your step.

This is fascinating. I can’t imagine football and basketball season overlapping in this manner. Broadcast TV rights would be a cluster. Weekend Basketball games, assuming it’s conference play, would have to be moved to Friday nights and Sunday to make it work for fans and for TV, I’d have to believe.

Better than nothing. That would make one epic winter of sports.

I’m going to greatly not enjoy watching this disregard for public safety be drug out into the open as a freedom of religion / faith display for the masses.

Terrible decision by this Pastor. As I said before, we should be more concerned about being the Church than just going to Church. When Pastor's do things like this they make it about themselves than worshiping a Holy God. Read Romans 13. Enough said.

Luckily I am not a contact wearer but I wonder about putting in/removing the lens under the "don't touch your face protocol.
Much like eating with your hands, as long as you wash your hands before, then you should be ok.

In fact, the eyes are pretty amazing, as they can reject 99% of all bacteria. On the other hand, the mouth accepts 101% of all bacteria attempting to enter it. The nose is somewhere between these two.

My ex's mouth accepted all forms of bacteria.
