Latest Coronavirus - Yikes

It does have something to do with it. If the media is considering shutting him down he's going to go directly to the public to encourage them to continue to demand access to the PCs.

Which is worse, him boasting about his Nielsen ratings or Pelosi holding a press conference to claim that he's killing people with his actions?

Which is worse, him boasting about his Nielsen ratings or media folks seriously considering not airing the PCs because they're concerned it helps him with the public?

As I said - plenty of bad behavior to comment on.
The explanations I've seen, are that some select media outlets are not airing the press briefings live because they want an opportunity to vet some of the information being provided first. This has nothing to do with the health care professionals who are speaking, but of Trump's misinformation - and there has definitely been some. Your statement that "they're concerned it helps him with the public" reads like either something you would see in a Trump tweet or hear on Fox News... and speaking of Fox News, they actually cut away from the Coronavirus press conference yesterday, once Trump began boasting about Neilsen ratings and comparing himself to "The Bachelor" and "Monday Night Football" because they know that is not a good look for him.

Back to the main point here... what kind of person boasts about the Neilsen ratings of a press conference meant to discuss a pandemic which will cost many people their jobs and some people their lives? Not a very good one.

Every POTUS press conference is full of misinformation. I'm skeptical that the only motivation is to "vet some information".

I said he's an ego maniac what more do you want. I said it was bad behavior what more do you want?

Any comment on Pelosi's inflammatory statements?

Excellent post.
I think all of Trump's "live" comments should be on an hour delay. Once they edit out all of the false and/or inflammatory statements, the few words remaining may actually make sense and almost appear presidential.
No President (or any normal person) in history would brag about ratings during a press conference about a national crisis.
Trump is not normal and should certainly never be normalized (for Weezer).

A totalitarian's dream. Well done.

Trump dismissed coronavirus pandemic worry in January — now claims he long warned about it

March 12:It’s going to go away. ... The United States, because of what I did and what the administration did with China, we have 32 deaths at this point … when you look at the kind of numbers that you’re seeing coming out of other countries, it’s pretty amazing when you think of it.”

March 15: “This is a very contagious virus. It’s incredible. But it’s something that we have tremendous control over.”

March 16: “If you’re talking about the virus, no, that’s not under control for any place in the world.”

March 17: “I’ve always known this is a, this is a real, this is a pandemic … I’ve felt that it was a pandemic long before it was called a pandemic.”

The explanation of the media wanting to "vet" information is one of the funnier things I've read in some time.

Thanks.

He's plus 5 on handling the Rona.

Given the media coverage I'd say that's pretty dang good.
It isn't the media coverage. He brings this stuff on himself. He's had some good press conferences (and I've said so on here). But he's also fallen back on his old habits as well.

Yes... that guy will be along later to tell you that every politician does this.
