Benefit? No of course not but I bet they will be listed as essential. He is still taking a check, his employees will still be getting a check. His company will still be making money while many others are closed and may never open again. My brother owns a similar company, on a much smaller scale and he said they haven't seen any kind of slow down.I explicitly said restaurants as an example.
If you think that a general contractor-type company benefits from shutting everything down, you're nuts. Even if the work they do is on the "essential list." A shutdown bankrupts potential customers.
Now, if Jeff Bezos was a governor, maybe you've got something there...
