Latest Coronavirus - Yikes

I explicitly said restaurants as an example.

If you think that a general contractor-type company benefits from shutting everything down, you're nuts. Even if the work they do is on the "essential list." A shutdown bankrupts potential customers.

Now, if Jeff Bezos was a governor, maybe you've got something there...
Benefit? No of course not but I bet they will be listed as essential. He is still taking a check, his employees will still be getting a check. His company will still be making money while many others are closed and may never open again. My brother owns a similar company, on a much smaller scale and he said they haven't seen any kind of slow down.

Typical Trumpster. Ignore and even deny the science and the facts for as long as you can possibly get away with it. What I love about Trump is that he did so for 6 weeks, to the point where we are over 100,000 cases and thousands dead and now he switches gears and instead of denying and minimizing it, now he's taking credit for it not being worse!! He's such a fraud.

Since when do Drs have to power to toss the constitution in the trash heap?

If a President states in an interview that he believes the amount of equipment a state is saying they need is inflated, that he believes what they actually need for their state is much lower, how is it an unfair question to ask him how this will affect the way he allocates those needed resources?
Step into the Presidents shoes and you decide who gets what. I love the 20/20 second guessing that goes on.

Yet.

I hate it for the good and sane citizens in VA, but I have no sympathy for the fools that voted to elect that dumbass Northam, they are getting and deserve every bit of sh*tty government that they asked for.

Well, I mean it's pretty easy to argue that some of what they do (plumbing, electrical) actually is essential. Construction/facilities management, not so much.

I didn't have to drive far smart guy, I said there was only 1 open within a 50 mile radius. I'm not crying about driving, I'm glad I was able to able give them my business as opposed to you who would like them to be laid off. They were talking about even though they are the only one open and have had people driving a long way to come see them business has been down from about 100 or so customers a day to 30 a day. It's sad. It's also scary people like you support government being able to make people stay home over a virus.

The economy being wrecked with have much longer consequences than this virus

You should stop before you look stoopider.

I mean, like I said, I can understand the quarantine for a few weeks so we can prepare....but orders like this are just ridiculous.

I mean for f sake. We dont know anything for sure and based on that, close it down for 10 weeks.

You are proposing economic annihilation. Multiple family dwellings will become common by next fall. Think that will help flu season?

Outrage as Vegas homeless are corralled into an empty parking lot and made to sleep on the bare concrete in boxed-off areas less than six feet apart

Homeless people in Las Vegas have been corralled into a disused parking lot and made to sleep less than six feet apart on the concrete after a resident at their shelter caught coronavirus.

The City of Las Vegas provided the vacant parking lot of Cashman Center on Saturday night. They rolled out a thin layer of carpet for one section of the concrete, but another has been left bare.

Patient, 86, dies after being 'hit in the head by 32-year-old woman who claimed she was violating social distancing rules' in Brooklyn hospital where they were both being treated

An elderly New York woman has died after she was assaulted by a stranger at a local hospital who claimed she was not practicing social distancing during the coronavirus pandemic.

Janie Marshall, 86, died less than four hours after she was allegedly assaulted by 32-year-old Cassandra Lundy at the Woodhull Hospital in Brooklyn's Bedford-Stuyvesant neighborhood on Saturday.

The death marks the first corona-related homicide in the city - the epicenter of the pandemic in the United States.

Both Marshall and Lundy were patients at the hospital when the altercation took place, authorities explained to the New York Daily News on Sunday.

Marshall had been at the hospital for a bowel obstruction and is said to have innocently grabbed a metal stand that was near a bed that Lundy - a seizure patient - was sitting in at around 2pm.
