I like Bristol except on race weekends . I think we would both be absolutely fine on a mountaintop somewhere , with a driveway that you have to really work your way up if you want to visit . Lol

Rachel may spin theories, but she has more journalistic integrity where it comes to citing actual facts. I get that the right hates her, but her team does solid fact checking.

You are missing the point when I say "it goes away because we want it to," what I mean by that is folks will tell themselves its over we can go back to being normal, because ppl are tired of being cooped up in the house, economic uncertainty, "stay in shelters", so I believe the majority of Americans will buy into the notion that this thing is over and its business as usual. Not that the virus is actually dead or anything but rather "I want it to be over so Im going to buy into it being over."

We have the most cases bc we have performed the most tests.... he didn’t say we would be free and clear by Easter.... he stated it was his hope that we could open up parts of the country by Easter.... they talk and meet on this daily.... he decided the best course of action was to shut it down till the end of April.... This is a pandemic that has affected entire world the same way....

If she had journalistic integrity, you would never know what her political ideology was through her analysis of daily news.

I hold both responsible for their behavior, not just one. Personally, I find it intellectually dishonest to be so dismissive of a governor's leadership role. I can't help but think you choose to do so in an attempt to strengthen your attack against Trump. I've said several times he's made some missteps. That's no excuse for the behavior of others. You're only wanting to spin one side of the story. That's self-serving IMO.

When this thread started and prior to that, if anyone here wasn't paying close attention to the outbreak in China and having some thought that it may possibly spread to the US, then you can not point your finger at the government and claim it's their fault.

The responsibility to take care of yourself and your family lies with the individual. Not your neighbor, not your friends and definitely not the government.

Detroit is a mess right now for Covid-19 and their Dem Governor is refusing to let their doctors prescribe whatever they feel is best for their patients in order to treat this. Trump suggested anti-malarial drugs a long time ago to treat this. These drugs were formally approved on an emergency basis (I think this qualifies as an emergency) this morning.

These things should help Pres Trump tremendously in the Fall in that state

Woman Claiming to Have Virus Jailed for Spitting on Police She Called ‘Dirty Whites’

A woman claiming to have the Chinese coronavirus and who spat on French police officers while calling them “dirty whites” was handed a seven-month prison sentence.

The incident took place in the commune of Longjumeau during a routine check. Since President Emmanuel Macron put France on lockdown to slow the spread of coronavirus, residents have needed travel papers to move about.

Police stopped the woman and after she failed to present the required documents, she began insulting the officers, calling them “dirty whites” and saying “I hope you will all die of Covid.”

When officers attempted to place handcuffs on the woman she resisted and began grabbing officers and spitting on them while telling the police “I have the coronavirus, you’re all going to die,” according to Le Parisien.


Caroline Nisand, the public prosecutor of Evry-Courcouronnes, told the newspaper that the woman was well-known to police and criminal justice system, and that she had a long criminal record.​

She was quickly brought before a local judge, who proceeded to find her guilty of several offences including an aggravated racism charge.​

If that is the standard for a "cable news show" I'd agree.. but fact checking is lacking, in general, with journalism.
