Latest Coronavirus - Yikes

You are correct. They should stop interviewing nurses. When you have 12 hours of getting your azz kicked, low on supplies, trying to follow the administration's 5th policy change for the week you aren't going to be objective.... At all. Newer nurses are more prone to freaking out. I go back tomorrow and I'm preparing for a shyte storm.

Irrespective of political ideology you, and the rest of your team, have my profound thanks and respect..... My mom was an RN serving in various capacities (cardiac, ER, OR, etc.) as well as the military. She once told me she had seen so many hysterectomies that she figured she could perform the surgery herself......

Keep the faith and stay safe! The rest of us poor non-medical schmucks are grateful for what you do even if we don't always understand what you're having to deal with.

Corporations got a letter next to their name? A month or few weeks shutdown will not hurt corporations, or should not. Yes they employ millions, but didn't they get a huge tax break a year ago? What did they do with those savings? Are you saying that corporations need more help than small businesses or individuals?

Do you have any idea how ignorant you sound? Since when did "corporations" the same "corporations" the vast majority of Americans work for become the enemy?

A governor who accuses him of telling medical vendors not to sell medical supplies to MI is not "the country", nor childish to defend himself against the charge. It is "childish" and certainly NOT PULLING THE ***** COUNTRY TOGETHER for a governor to state such a slanderous accusation.

Trump should continue slapping down the lies and implied falsehoods by media. They've done it for nearly four years now, will not stop, and indeed are enemies of this country and instead are ideologues wed to a worldview. When they lie, they should be called liars.
there is no hope for you....you sound like you want a civil war.

I hate bailing out corporations, but I understand the reasoning behind it. Corporations are going to get their money, no matter what. If that means massive lay offs, then that's what they'll do. I could be mistaken, but part of the conditions in the bill is that corporations will not engage in massive lay offs, thus keeping people employed. Does it suck? Absolutely. But if it keeps people in jobs...

why should I be advised to have 6 months of emergency funds, but a corporation doesn't have 1 or 2 months?

The bolded applies to Mr. Trump as well.

I keep saying it and there is no way for this not to turn political.

But, people are not going to volunteer for an economic collapse.

I believe strongly football will be played. Movie theaters will be open. Schools will be open. Etc., etc, etc.

Otherwise, I better brush up on the Hunger Games to find out what district I'm in.

this has been my argument among family and friends. Folks are getting restless and want things back to normal. This "pandemic," will end because folks want it to end- even if it hasn't run its course.

Meanwhile, back at the Ranch.....

For those of you who stand your watch in the Squads, ER's, ICU's, Walk-in Clinics, Sick Bays, wherever...I want you to know that Diana and I say a prayer for you every day. You've never been appropriately recognized for the selfless, sometimes thankless, often critical, and life-saving work you do...until now.

Same goes for those of you who are doing your best to see that those above get what they need to win this ugly fight. We hold you all in the highest regard.

We are extremely grateful for your effort and sacrifice. God Bless you all.

Zaandam cruise ship reports more sick people on board after 4 die and 2 test positive for Covid-19 - CNN

So, a cruise ship flagged in the Netherlands, set sail from Argentina on 3/7 on 14 day cruise ending in Chile on 3/21. Except Chile Denies them port. So they get permission to go through Panama Canal and are heading towards Ft Lauderdale.

There are a few Americans on board, but most of the sick are staff.

What’s our responsibility? What’s the right thing to do??

The point is that Trump lied. That wasn't a "gotcha" question. Yamiche Alcindor was quoting directly from Trump's interview with Sean Hannity... but Trump still denied saying, what he said.

He insisted on context; without context the reporter's question is a lie at worst, a falsehood at best.

These journo azzhats make an antagonistic assumption against virtually any Trump utterance; if they took the position of objective assumption - what actual journos should do - they'd at least evidence integrity. Alcindor has a history of characterizing opinion as fact, and half-truths as truth, and Democrats have called her on it as well.

That's fine. I've seen more so-called Trumpers admit he lies than I've seen the other side admit the lies against him. You still haven't acknowledged the Michigan governor lying about Trump telling vendors not to sell to her.

I wasn't aware of what the MI governor has said re: vendors selling or not. As such, I didn't feel qualified to comment.

If that is true (and I have no reason to doubt that it isn't) it's ridiculous...... However, she's not responsible for the entire federal gov't's lack of response to this.

Trump's "blue-skying" about this mess back in Jan. was disingenuous at best and downright negligent at worst. I expect better from elected officials. Especially the president of the US. Unfortunately, what I expect and what I get are frequently diametrically opposed.

They should go to a country that has a far superior medical system than ours. Some socialized healthcare system country.
