You are correct. They should stop interviewing nurses. When you have 12 hours of getting your azz kicked, low on supplies, trying to follow the administration's 5th policy change for the week you aren't going to be objective.... At all. Newer nurses are more prone to freaking out. I go back tomorrow and I'm preparing for a shyte storm.
Irrespective of political ideology you, and the rest of your team, have my profound thanks and respect..... My mom was an RN serving in various capacities (cardiac, ER, OR, etc.) as well as the military. She once told me she had seen so many hysterectomies that she figured she could perform the surgery herself......
Keep the faith and stay safe! The rest of us poor non-medical schmucks are grateful for what you do even if we don't always understand what you're having to deal with.
