Latest Coronavirus - Yikes

Ok Volnation. I’m on here waayyy more than my posts show. But here we go...

Here’s a conundrum for you. My dad is almost 88. Mom is 81. Both with history of respiratory issues. Anyway, Dad has been the medical director of a local nursing home for the last 47 years and is still working there 20hrs a week. It’s his life calling. He refuses to stay home despite the current situation. Our county in NY just surpassed 300 cases. I’ve asked him to take a week or two “off” to see how things play out, but he won’t listen.

What do I do? Understand this is what it is and he understands and let things go? Or push to get him to stay at home??

Move Mom.
Or use guilt... the ole’ dad you’re being selfish and exposing mom to what you could bring home. What if you get a mild case but mom’s, that you brought home, is worse and requires a hospital and a vent? Would taking some time off be worth avoiding that happening?

Disclaimer: My Catholic Mom was a professional level guilter, so I can throw it around with the best of them.😉

All I can think of, is maybe you could offer to spend the time that he would normally spend at work, with him at home instead, as some quality time/work from home time... just anything really. I know things aren't always that simple, and that may not be an option, but these are extraordinary times.

Did you see where Trump cut the death rate in half..... way to go trump!

I've been watching as he caused a delay in response by government and coaxed his followers to believe the threat was not real, thereby costing untold lives and economic injury to the country.

The good news is that today he accepted the advice of the science believers. The bad news is he should have done that about 3-5 weeks ago.

But what is done is done. The harm he has caused will have some inevitable effects and cause unimaginable loss of life. All we can do now as a country is come together and try to overcome his abject failures and vote him out of office soundly and in favor of people who do not run the government like a reality tv show.

No matter how many of your Twitter losers you post nobody believes any of that 🐂💩. While you all were drooling over the impeachment in January, that started in September, he was busy building his coronavirus task force. Remember him getting called a xenophobe when he banned flights to China Jan 31st?

And now this.

So stupid in Michigan they still havent gotten that Flint water issue solved and ts been how long now ? Putting Pritzkers name in there makes it more amusing - worst Illinois governor of all time in less than 1 and1/2 years -- says alot
