Latest Coronavirus - Yikes

You act like the removal of Trump and seating a far left Dem President will bridge the great divide in this nation. It is really comical.
The great divide will never be bridged.
The question is will it grow wider or more narrow and at what rate.
Trumpism is rooted in widening the divide at an accelerated rate. (and that's a bad thing)

However the states dont have the resources to do all those things, hence states asking dumbass to do his job. You act as if states were sitting idly by waiting. States were doing what they could with the resources they had. The same with natural disasters, the states do things, but need some funding from Washington. It ain't that hard, try to keep up.

NY didn't have $570M to buy ventilators that their own pandemic readiness study indicated they needed? NYS has a $177B budget. They could have spread that over four years and just cut back Free Lunch Fridays.

This is exactly the problem; there is no foresight. Build the shiny, prog edifice instead.

If everything falls on the CEO, why do we have a CFO, Board of Directors, Managers?!
The left does not understand separation of powers between federal branches of government or between it and the state governments.
Apparently you are correct. It's almost as if people have never studied government, I thought that was a required course in HS. At least it was at my HS, but that was a few decades ago.

They wanna have it both ways. When he is obliquely racist, they want us to adhere to the specific words and not look at his obvious intent. When we adhere to the specific words in describing what he says they want us to be overly charitable and focus on maybe, possibly, in some possible world, what he was trying to say.

No , the problem is .. when you claim every stinking thing that is said or done is “ racist “ , nobody listens anymore .

I agree, some are. Some people are only comfortable when they have a defined enemy. The basis of Trumpism.
I hate hate.
I hate hating the POTUS.
56 years of not hating the POTUS were far more preferable than these past 3 years of hating the POTUS.
I'm 71. I honestly don't believe I have ever hated anyone who didn't perpetrate some form of violence on others. I cannot say that anymore.

Whew...titansvols does himself no favors posting that nonsense in public.

Well, it's your idea... maybe you can get that rolling?

On a side note, I'm afraid to turn on the AC just in case this heat will kill this virus. But unless it becomes mandatory not to, I might, just for a minute.
We definitely cranking up the heat and humidity gonna be 80+ with 70% humidity

States do have resources. They have the power to tax, same as the federal government. Try to keep up. States have the responsibility to see to their own needs without looking to the federal government to be their nanny. Not that hard to understand.

I disagree with racism, and find it to be ignorant. But bigotry exists in many forms. None of them are pretty.

I also find, too often, people are labeled "racist" undeservedly.
Most people are bigots, not racists. Ignorant people toss the racist card around. Usually the same folks who say sh!t like "save our democracy "!

Luther, it seems you're okay with that divide growing as long as someone from the left is sitting in the Oval Office. Obama did nothing to narrow that divide, instead growing it wider. Did you complain then? Will you complain when the next Dem President does the same? It's not who is sitting in that office that really creates that divide. It's the partisanship that divides the nation. Neither side is even looking to bridge that divide.

Again, you are conflating things and putting words in Whitmer's mouth that she did not say. She's pointing out that the rate of infection could be similar but not the death rate. The death rate in the US is 1.5% of those infected, not 10.5% like Italy. Try to keep up.

Nonsense; nothing about the U.S. mirrors the trajectory in Italy, not infection, hospitalization, or death rates. Whether she's talking about the U.S. or Michigan, she's wrong in every respect. This is why Dr. Birx has to actually tell media and politicians that hyperventilating makes for bad policy and crappy government.

“When people start talking about 20 percent of a population getting infected, it is very scary but we don’t have data that matches that based on the experience,” Birx said.

“There’s no … reality on the ground where we can see that 60 to 70 percent of Americans are going to get infected in the next eight to 12 weeks,” Birx later continued. Birx cautions against inaccurate models predicting significant coronavirus spread

Try not to be desperate. Whitmer is a buck-passing, anti-science alarmist.

But But......Trump doesn't have a good enough team to do the right & sensible thing to save people.
Trump is just a washed up TV reality host who knows nothing about being a leader & a President....
He's a terrible leader with putting people & companies together in charge of fighting this horrible killing virus.
Please explain what role Trump played in this breakthrough. This appears to be a prime example how our private sector functions when they see a need. Just about every laboratory in this field started racing to be the first to successfully fill this need. Abott Laboratories appears to have won the race and will be rewarded billions for their efforts. This is great news, but I can’t find a shred of evidence showing that the Trump administration played any role in this development. If you have any, please share.
