And as I’ve stated, production isn’t the problem, it’s coordinated distribution, as explained in this
a letter signed by more than 100 current and former national security professionals, including former Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel, outlines as much:

“Some private companies have been willing and able to scale up production — and admirably so,” the letter says. “But as governors and local leaders around the country are making clear, private efforts without more extensive government support are proving far from sufficient to meet the current and anticipated needs. Beyond questions of supply, the private sector lacks the ability to process incoming requests, prioritize the most urgent needs, and coordinate with other companies absent more concerted government involvement. That is precisely what the DPA is designed to do.”
another thing that bugs me about this supply issue, is the ease at which we are ready to blame the government about it...

but really, knowing our manufacturing limitations domestically, and that we've had some idea for a while now that if the worst happened (global unstoppable pandemic) that supplies would run short, especially with longer lead times due to transit from MFG site to domestic distribution sites, why isn't anyone asking the private manufacturers why there aren't more of an emergency supply ready to go? why don't we have enough domestic manufacturing to meet a giant spike in demand should worst case play out? why are we in the position of needing the government to step in and control this in the first place? why can't you, "medical product company", supply hospitals, out patient facilities, urgent care facilities, etc...with the supplies so despartely needed right now?

production is part of the problem, if you're having to rely on manufactuerer's from other industries to product product, when need is as urgent as it is right now.

none of that is directed at you GV, just observatons in general.

this drawing lines/choosing sides....to me is pointless, especially on this particular topic.....the decisions that led to this particular scenario playing out have been made long ago, and at many stops along the way.....and to me, is the conversation we should be having....and maybe we will once the urgency of the present situation settles a bit....hopefully. this is the "more important" conversation, long term. however, it's not the "most important right now" conversation....that, really is "how do we get the suppplies to where they're needed most, the fastest".

yeah, i don't know. the president just said he doesn't believe the governor of new york needs the amount of ventilators he's requested, or that anyone is in desperate need for supplies (or else he would trigger the DPA); this pretty directly states the opposite. when people tell us they need help, we need to listen.

If NY was a republican state with a republican governor the president would be more inclined to listen.

Does anybody who does stock trading on their own have any advice for someone thinking about getting into it? I have never done it before and do not know the lingo.
I just started listening to the talking heads everyday. Watched the market. Watch it react and see if there are any trends. Find stocks you like and just monitor them daily if you’re able to.

all of the traits that make burrow great are the ones that JG is missing. HB has a lot of the same qualities I think. Not as mobile but I think he’s got that same it factor based on how he elevated the play of those around him. Dude won a state championship with BJ Ojulari as his right tackle

not sure how serious you want to get with it, but a fun easy way to get your feet wet is to download the cash app; it allows your to buy smaller portions of stocks (say, $20 of apple) and kinda just get a feel for all of it. so for a couple hundred bucks you can guy into a relatively wide portfolio with pretty much no significant risk.

I just want to take a second to thank all of the posters here that are making a huge difference in the fight against the virus. All you doctors, nurses, and medical workers out there are so important in our daily lives, and even more so now. Everyone still reporting into work to keep our utilities running and providing us groceries and medicine. It's going to get darker before it brightens up, so we need to keep all these individuals in our minds and hearts. Much respect.
