Latest Coronavirus - Yikes

Been here since last Nov/Dec at least.
Might also explain why some are testing positive and not showing symptoms (beyond simply being a carrier). Exposure built innate immunity and now they have it but it doesn't show active infection.

Idk...just spitballing, here.

I think over 50% of the infections on that Japanese cruise ship were asymptomatic. There are a lot of people this thing just doesn't affect that seriously. It may have something to do with viral load (how much of the virus you're being infected with) as well.

So what I am hearing you say is I need to get to the liquor store and buy all the Icelandic schnapps available so I won't feel any symptoms . . .

My wife and I both know people, including one of our sons, who had respiratory illnesses in the last 8 months. Nothing diagnosed but wasn't cold, flue, or "crud". She thinks we've been exposed prior to the current panic. I agree with her. This pathogen has already made its way through at least once.

The other side of this "tested positive, but no symptoms" coin, is that it just hasn't done it's damage yet. I sort of felt that I may have had it, and seems like the wife may have, but folk could be in for a rude awakening if we start thinking it's just the flu.

I hope this is a one and done type virus like chicken pox because I'm convinced me and the wife had it already. I wouldn't want to go through anything worse.

The longest they've found it remained in someone's nostrils so far was 37 days, so it can be a long while and may even have dormant states.

So yeah, spitball away, but just do it at the prescribed distance.

By that strictest definition and the report you attached that uses the word plausible it is possible to maybe squeeze it in but the WHO says it can’t be spread through the air and even the CDC says basically someone would have to sneeze or cough on you. Think about it, if this could live in the air then this thing would spread way more quickly. Walmart, grocery stores, none of it would be safe.

WHO considers 'airborne precautions' for medical staff after study shows coronavirus can survive in air

I think we still don’t know enough about this virus yet to discount some transmission variables as being definitely out of play. There is scientific speculation requiring further research out there that it may have up to a 3 hour float time. Even if they disprove that form of transmission I’ll continue to treat this virus as serious and dangerous.

Do you wonder at all why the CCP was using fine mist water machines to spray everything down on a fairly daily basis. They were spraying up into the air and as high as possible up buildings with no way for anyone besides Spider-Man to have touched and contaminated those surfaces. Why?

It’s decades old and is safe for consumption in the gold standards for safety .. pregnant and or nursing mothers . The CDC itself states there is no limit on how long it can be used . You can’t give a nursing mother aspirin but you can give her Chloroquine. Which goes back to my original question .. how dumb does one have to be to OD on it ?
Racist!

Your spitballing may be correct.
