Latest Coronavirus - Yikes

We have been doing a poor job of reducing spread, which in large part is caused by lack of testing.

But we're shooting up the rankings, so doing better than others?

Maybe others are doing worse at reducing spread but their lack of testing hides it?

I know. I know. You have a narrative to push.

No.

Doing more tests is imperative so that we can know where the hottest zones are to both deploy resources and work hardest to reduce spread, or at least rate of spread.

It will result in an increase in reported cases, which will briefly be viewed as "bad news." But, it should reflect a lower severity and mortality rate.

Bottom line is that anyone blocking testing for appearance or political purposes needs to be removed immediately from whatever position they might be in.

More information cannot possibly ultimately be a bad thing.

I only have one...
1. leave politics out of it right now bc we have something much more important going on that if someone has an R or a D next to his name..... your mind is clouded by politics.

Speak for yourself. My mind is clearly focused on the inactions of the Senate ( which you’re right they are political) which in turn have enabled this POTUS to become worse. More ego less competence

He seems fine to me.....what do you want him to do differently? And if it involves not lying.... I don’t want to hear it..... real honest to god improvements

You're all over the place.

First it was testing complaints. Now it is lack of containment complaints. The improved testing is what is making the surfacing(appearance of spread).

Both things are true. We are not testing enough AND its spreading.

Doing more testing gives us information to try to help stop the spread

You're not going to stop the spread. It is a virus.

When weather, immunities, etc..start to kick in, then it will stop. What we have done and will do will make little impact.

So as of this minute we've lost 307 people in the US to this virus and 91 in the last 24 hours. Wow.

It’s not about stopping the spread. It’s about slowing it.
The point is for the hospital to not be like our grocery stores. If we run out of ventilators......that’s bad.
The reason we are treating this differently than others is the way and speed that it spreads. We can’t stop it. We’re not trying to stop it. We’re just trying to slow it.

was all this necessary? I don’t know. But I have a feeling we will all know in about a month. England did not do a damn thing to prevent this thing from spreading till Friday. Will all know soon enough who was right.

Side note - I get the feeling with this check stuff it is going to be a cluster on who gets it and who doesn't. If anyone has the latest info on it please pass it along.

I know. I know. Flatten the curve. It is the hippest thing going. It is even cool enough to enable government to overreach.

18,000 lost to the flu this year.

In the months from November through February that equates to 150 per day. Average down to be conservative and call it 120 Lives lost to the Flu.

Every. Single. Day.

Stop buying the hysteria, or enjoying it so much, or whatever it is you and evil and LG are getting off on here. The numbers - when in context - do not support this BS the media is peddling.
