I’m not seeing or hearing anything that can be substantiated, and it’s certainly not the case at my hospital. Our ER visit numbers are actually down over the last week or so, especially amongst our regulars/frequent flyers. It’s almost as if they’re afraid of getting the virus and not coming in for their usual bullish!t.

Other than the few "hotspots" (NYC, Cali, Wash,...), that's pretty much what I'm hearing everywhere. Many have cancelled non-urgent surgeries, so that opens hospital space, too. My clinic has slowed to a crawl.

Have you seen the Bowflex selectable dumbbells? They aren't cheap, but very cool, esp if space is an issue.

I have. Unfortunately they're more than what I want to spend and they're also sold out everywhere. Looks like a lot of people had the same idea.

Went by CVS to pick an RX for my mom. CVS employees are taking it seriously. Lady and her dad were at next register. Her dad coughed into his hand a couple times. After they left the girl behind the counter wiped down the counter, touchsceen, and her hand scanner.

And now I'm sitting here kicking myself for not just going through the drive thru to avoid unnecessary interactions. It didn't even occur to me to go through the drive thru. I always forget it exists.

Oh well, guess I'll know in a week or two.

Looking at the most recent US numbers, I’m still feeling as if the doomsday scenario..... just isn’t going to happen. New York has by far the most positive cases, almost half of the total known cases in the country, which makes sense because as a state, they have been ahead of the curve with testing action/availability, even if it’s still not happening fast enough for everyone’s satisfaction. They now have 5x more positive cases than Washington state, but Washington state has still had almost 2x as many deaths, and almost half of those deaths came from one nursing home. I have no factual data that says Washington state has ramped up their testing. I would think they have, just because of how bad they got hammered coming out of the gate, but maybe it’s still not readily available there. Regardless, only 2 new cases reported there, and best I can count, only 5 deaths this week. To me, it appears they’re maybe through the worst of it.

Told us at our project in Oak Ridge we’d keep working until someone shows up and locks the gate...so some management clearly doesn’t care. Some guys on the other side worked 12s all week and are working this weekend.

I’m sure it has nothing to do with a couple of looming bonus laden deadlines.

Places with carts should hose them down with those aerosol misters - they were showing a TV station doing that to news equipment with a Clorox mix - not thinking I'd do that to electronics, but carts would be a great application.

That’s why people gotta just stay home, or keep their distance. If you HAVE to go out, go enjoy some wide open spaces. I went for a drive and short hike on the BRP yesterday, then rode a Jeep trail through the woods. Very limited interaction with others.

We have taken advantage of some of the restaurants offering delivery now just to help them stay busy...I've went through 4 drive thru fast food places....Wendy employees were sitting outside and ran back in when they saw me pull up lol.. thats how slow they were...been to BK twice and they are by far the most stringent....wouldn't touch my card and pushed the card reader out for me to use

I went into a Publix last night and they had a kid wiping down carts, difference was he was wiping them down AFTER you pushed it up to the door. I mentioned that maybe he should be getting the carts and wiping them down BEFORE the customer grabs them. He looked at me like I had two heads.

Think about the numbers if schools, business, borders, airlines and other actions had not been taken to prevent the spread. We don't know the true number but one can assume it would be larger numbers than what we will soon see. Still concerned with all the preventive measures in place.

As far as Florida goes for vacation for the ones that took it they should lock Florida down and noone allow to return.

The 4 Representatives that liquidated their accounts should go to jail. Received privileged information prior to the chaos of outbreak and cashed out.

As a resident of Florida, theres nothing vacationy to do here. To go food. That's it. Beaches are closed. Amusement parks are closed

Was greeted by a woman in mask and gloves that took our temps before we could enter.

Surreal. Felt like I was in china.

I could see that. About a week after the onset of my still-mild symptoms (I am now 12 days into my self-quarantine) I did an e-visit with my Medicare provider. I finally had contact with a real person yesterday who wanted me to go to their clinic in downtown Houston (that’s about 50 miles away) to get tested “and bring any kind of mask or at least cover your face with tissues”. I decided, since my symptoms aren’t so bad and about the same if not a little less of a drag than they were a few days ago, to let them test someone with more severe symptoms while I continue my self-quarantine.

They started doing that at my sisters doctors office this week. Said it didn't matter if your coming in for twisted ankle, high blood pressure, or ingrown toenail you're getting screened first thing.

No, it's not being wiped down between customers. It's being wiped down after you get the cart from the line.

Thank you for practicing common sense and I hope you continue to improve. I don’t want to diminish the importance of testing, but it’s not going to move the needle for treatment for you, or anyone else with mild/no symptoms, such as yourself. However, unless you were going to a specialty testing site, you would run the chance of potentially infecting others who might not be able to fight it off as well as you.
