Coronavirus (No politics)

Shelby county is showing only 4 cases so they are getting very aggressive in what they are doing. It should keep help keep their numbers low. Knoxville is getting a bit more aggressive with closings, as well. Also, there is a drive thru testing close by. Stores that are still open have updated their opening and closing times for the second time this week showing their awareness.

Ain't it great!!!!! We have people losing their jobs because of business closures, and yet we have ignorant people going to the beach for spring break. When ask why, they say " I don't care about the virus, I want to party" This is why we can't have nice things. You have students coming from all parts of the country to Florida beaches, some becoming infected, and then returning to their home states to spread the virus. Then they complain about government infringing on their freedom of choice. If you are not responsible enough to make the right choice, then I am all for the government making it for you. And why the hell hasn't Florida closed their beaches? Their governor should be impeached. Stupid is as stupid does. You may not like the way China gave the people no choice, but it probably was the best thing to do to slow the virus. Don't ever depend on all the people to do the right thing!!!

Shelby Co has 10 positives with an additional 81 “being monitored” which I can only assume means awaiting results

The beaches haven't been and aren't going to be closed for one simple reason. Money. Spring Break tourism dollars. In Florida, they have 432 Florida-related cases includes nine deaths. To not be aggressive in this state regarding life and death is ridiculous. I don't know much about the governor but it appears that he is a total idiot.

Over 150 positives in TN to date, over 1/4 are in younger people, with the most common decade affected being the 21-30 demographic.

There have been 2 positive cases age 0-10, and 9 age 11-20. All middle and west TN, none in serious condition.

No deaths in TN to date.

This is the first really good sign I've seen that argues FOR the idea that the mortality rate will drop, perhaps significantly, as we are testing more and more patients with less severe illness.

Money? Going to the beach is free. Restaurants are closed for sit down and hotels are ghost towns. Florida isnt doing anything different than anyone else and most of the cases are in Miami/Broward because of airports and cruises. It's not spring breakers. come on now.

I'm pretty sure the governor closed a majority of the beaches today

I will tell you this. If you have not locked your mortgage loan, you are out of luck. Lenders do not want to lend unless you want to pay points and rates are bad as of today. Some warehouse lines are making margin calls to lenders and putting a choke hold on money to buy. You are good if your locked in but if not, it’s going to be awhile. This uncertain environment has made lenders skittish and they don’t want any business as of now.

(8) 3/19: I had a slight downturn today. When I woke up I felt like crap again. Heavy chest, chest pain, and fatigue was as bad today as it was last Friday. This was concerning as I had hoped my downturn had already past. On a positive note I started to feel somewhat better as the day went on. Hopefully this will continue into tomorrow. No test results yet. Symptoms: moderate heavy chest, moderate chest pain, moderate fatigue, and shortness of breath.

Dang, that makes it stink worse that she survived that, then die.
Unfortunately, if you have undergone chemotherapy and radiation your immune system takes years to recover and sometimes never fully recovers. My wife had to undergo 35 rounds of radiation and 17 rounds of chemotherapy. Her last chemotherapy treatment was in February of 2019 and her white blood cell count is still about half of what it should be. Her doctor from MD Anderson told her that data from China showed that nearly 60% of cancer patients died when infected and cancer survivors had about a 30% death rate.

Tennessee seems to be doing okay but Georgia, especially Atlanta, is getting hammered. There were 10 new deaths in Georgia in the last 24 hours.
