Latest Coronavirus - Yikes

Looks like you didnt get a choice in either.

Oh, how clever.

You can keep calling me emotional because you really have zero substance to contribute to anything in this discussion other than "everything's fine." I'm angry. You may think it's funny but this whole ordeal is going to ruin people's lives financially. I'm angry because some of y'all are acting like this is a party, or some kind of joke but the facts are in an it's not. Go ahead, call me emotional. The majority of this country--the world-- is "emotional" right now. Even your president is.

Up to 4k active cases now which is 0.001% of the population. ..if the numbers were to get up to China levels and reach 80k that would be 0.24% it would take 327k cases to equal 1% and remember 93% of those are mild so if it gets 4 times worse than China we are looking at needing 5,600 beds
I don't think anyone believes numbers from China.

It's not a joke.

People die everyday. We cant stop the world for it.

How did the pandemic response team do with H1N1?
It did quite well in getting individuals tested. Of course, you know that the pandemic response team are not doctors that treat individuals....their main goals are to get testing implemented to hopefully stave off the infections. The PRT oversaw the Ebola crisis as well. The problem here, is that testing is not being properly administered (problem #1). The other issue is that true rates are not known, infections or deaths. They are not going to test someone after death to determine if CV was the cause. The falsehood that 4 million tests will be available at the end of the week is more gaslighting from donald and his worshippers. He has done a piss poor job, but who would've known that judging from his past?

South Korea tested more than anyone and came in at 8,300 before they peaked and started declining..they are around 7k now...so if we multiply x 6 for pop difference that would put us around 50k...btw 96% of their tests were negative

Out of curiosity. Let's flash back to, say, 1 week ago. You're president. What do you do?

Dont know.

I'm the president of my life and my family's though and we are living life as normal with an emphasis on cleanliness. We all die, I cant stop that. You determine what your acceptable risks are and go forward. I dont rock climb or skydive. Some people do.

What did they do differently that allowed them to do better getting individuals tested?

Rock climbing and sky diving doesn’t put anyone but you at risk.

He’s more likely to die of Sclerosis than the wu flu

Well we can't all be so fortunate as to only have a couple of people depend on us. It's exponentially more stressful when the effects are bigger than you.

Trump declared the State of frickin' Emergency! You can say he was forced to by the media or backed into a corner but, hey, guess what? He was impeached and acquitted! His one constant is that he'll do whatever he wants. To wait until now after everything the past 4 years has seen, and give in to a decision that will absolutely fist this economy, you REALLY this isn't legit? Do you honestly think this is no worse than anything that has happened before? All the scientists are wrong? All the professionals are wrong? All the business/franchise/team owners are wrong? Does the media have the ability to turn them all upside down, after being unable to orchestrate the impeachment of the single most unlikable POTUS of all time? Seriously?
I don't think this is any different than stuff we see float around every 10 years or so
Are they all wrong? Meh. I think they are all scared in the very slight chance this blows up and turns out to be huge
The media have a great chance to blow anything out of proportion and if you don't believe that then you are very naive
