Latest Coronavirus - Yikes

It's a bad sound bite, but how is a virus Trump's fault? If a Dem were in office, would you hold them responsible for the spread of a virus? People keep politicizing this. Yes, it could have been handled better, but some things you can't place blame for. **** happens.

Nobody is blaming the virus on Trump. JFC. We are blaming him for his mismanagement and lack of leadership.

Again, his CDC was completely unprepared to perform tests, they even prevented the states from being ready, then Trump blamed people for not getting tested. It doesn't matter who the POTUS is, that's completely pathetic and he deserves all the criticism he gets.

I will agree in that I've said since the man was elected, he would be fine if he would choose his words more carefully and give a little more thought before he speaks on a subject. The response should have been from the get go, "...we are watching this situation. We are concerned with how easily the virus is transmitted and the amount of travel between the US and China that could quite likely spread this virus to the U.S. We are in contact with the CDC and a contingency plan is being discussed and implemented on how best to cope with this virus should it reach the U.S."

Trump is everything that red hats claim to hate, except he trolls libs, so he's their guy.

Could you imagine if Hillary, during her 12 hours of Benghazi testimony, had just come out and said "I don't take responsibility, at all." I'm sure Hannity would have been super cool with that.

Yeah, "What difference does it make?!" showed how woke she was. C'mon. I'm not absolving Trump for that comment, but neither was a good moment.

Oh no, now you've done it. I hope blood pressure pills and inhalers aren't in short supply.

I don't think that I have ever had a flu shot, and haven't had the flu in many, many years.

I have gotten the flu shot every year since 1988 minus one and guess what. Got the flu that year, only time I’ve gotten the flu since I started taking the shot.

Presented for your consideration.......

...Kristen Welker of NBC News asked Trump about the lag in testing, which Dr. Anthony Fauci, the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, had described as “a failing,” the day before.
“Do you take responsibility for that?” Welker asked.

“Yeah, no,” Trump replied. “I don’t take responsibility at all.”

When Yamiche Alcindor of PBS Newshour followed up by pointing out that Trump’s National Security Council had eliminated a team responsible for global health security, which was created by his predecessor to coordinate the response to pandemic threats, the president took offense and denied even knowing if such a thing had taken place.

“You said that you don’t take responsibility, but you did disband the White House pandemic office, and the officials that were working in that office left this administration abruptly. So what responsibility do you take to that?” Alcindor asked. “And the officials that worked in that office said that you, that the White House lost valuable time because that office was disbanded. What do you make of that?”

“Well, I just think it’s a nasty question,” Trump replied. “And when you say me — I didn’t do it. We have a group of people I could–”

“It’s your administration,” Alcindor interjected.

“I could ask perhaps,” Trump continued. “It’s my administration, but I could perhaps ask Tony about that, because I don’t know anything about it,” the president said, gesturing towards Dr. Fauci, who was not involved in disbanding the team, but had expressed regret that it was no longer there. “I mean, you say we did that. I don’t know anything about it,” Trump added.

“You don’t know about the reorganization that happened at the National Security Council?” Alcindor asked.

“It’s the administration. Perhaps they do that,” Trump replied. “You know, people let people go. You used to be with a different newspaper than you are now,” he said, referring, in confused terms, to the reporter having been hired by PBS, which is not a newspaper, from The New York Times, which did not fire her. “You know, things like that happen,” the president said, before the White House staff cut off the reporter’s microphone to make her next question inaudible.
