Latest Coronavirus - Yikes

What if extending the curve enables it to travel around the globe several times more than it would have otherwise?

I think I was living in a car and dealing with some bad habits at the time so I dont remember much from that particular moment in time. Sounds bad though. I agree what makes now the time to lockdown compared to then?

I dont know anyone that remembers it. No one made a big deal about it.

No my option is to keep living. Going out, spending money, trying to make a small dent in the lives of people that still need their wages.
If we're on the Italian exponential curve model, we'll be locked down within 2 weeks.

We averaged 60 deaths per day for people UNDER 65 for 6 straight months in 09. What shut down?
Thats linear though. Exponentially from this will be in the millions right?

How many die from the flu every day during flu season?

I was averaging out. I dont know how the trajectory on it was.

Millions? How many have died in China?

As many here have suggested, "You can't believe China's CV-19 statistics."

If that's true, I guess that leaves us looking to Europe, for the time being.

He best hope nobody knows exactly where his house is with that article coming out. Or he doesn't have a dishonest storage unit clerk.

I hope he goes broke. Had he been a whole seller and had these stocks from the start, that might have been different to charge elevated or "current market" asking prices. But when you go clear across a state clearing out stores, nope, I don't feel sorry if you lose your shirt.

I agree, not trustworthy. I'd say South Korea is, I dont see millions.

They had the best containment, apparently. Seems like we were flapping in the wind, about the same as the European countries, for a while. S.K. would be forthright, though. Plenty to learn from their efforts.
