So, I'm left wondering... If everyone knows he is going to declare a State of Emergency, why is he waiting until 3:00? I mean, time is of the essence, right?

So we have NIH..... CDC.... and probably a few more that overlap each.... we should be able to quickly pull together a response team from all our resources.... do you not agree with that?

It's not Obama's fault either. Every President blames the President before them. I remember Bush getting blamed by the Obama admin and supporters. Politicians enjoy passing the buck. But the simple truth is, some things just happen. Could Trump have handled it better? Yes. Would that have curtailed this virus or stopped it? No. Politicizing this is ignorant.

I haven’t seen anything about extended physical therapy needed, or long term damage from surviving this. Maybe it’s true, but I’m still looking at real data sampling worldwide over what one or two doctors are saying. There has also been nothing from the CDC with regards to this narrative.

As for giving it to old people, like I said, they should absolutely self quarantine and take the more extreme measures.

My county is about to get their first confirmed case. Will be interesting to see what the schools do now

Which begs the question, why is this subject in the PF? We all know the answer, and the chances of this not being politicized are about the same of this subject being moved to the Pub.

Have to go to the grocery store. I normally order online and pick up, but for some reason, they cancelled my order. I'm assuming it must be virus related as I've not had this happen before. And I didn't even have TP or water on the list.

Nothing wrong with discussing it here IMO. But not every thread needs to be about blaming Trump. Like I said, he could have handled it better, but blaming a global pandemic on him is a bit much. Nothing is going to stop this virus from spreading.

May also help explain why mortality in Northern Italy has been so bad. Look at how it's pollution compares to the rest of Europe.

Likely close. There's not been a case anywhere around us, but every school has shut down. I say close as in bordering counties, it's in Atlanta which is 70 miles away.
