Life was just fine under Obama IMO. Our country is great enough to have health care for all... I just think private industry could execute it better, as with all things business v. feds.

I know some of my husband's family had to leave their church because it became very obvious that they were being outcast due to not voting for Trump. This is a Church they had been doing good works for years, including going into the community, visiting homeless shelters, etc. It started when they became uncomfortable with the pastor posting (apparent now) Russian Bot info during the 2016, which they would show was not true. Possibly caused resentment, I don't know. There was a church meeting about them a few months ago, and they finally decided to leave. We invited them to our non-partisan church and they seem happy, but I know that stings since they thought those people were their friends, and that they were worshiping God, not Donald Trump.

I have some acquaintances I had to block on social media because I have to associate with them and want to keep the peace. Their racism (which I had no idea) has come out, which upset me. I'd rather be oblivious.

This sounds like a problem with the church ( separate religion from the state ) I also don’t understand why the friends you blocked all of a sudden are racist because Trump was elected . They managed to make it through 8 years of Obama with all the race baiting , and riots only to become racist when Trump got elected? 🤔

When was the last President that wasn't a corrupt fraud? I can point out instances from Obama, Bush, Clinton, Bush, and Reagan. So maybe Carter, but he made up for it by being incompetent. Same is true of Ford. Then we delve back into corruption with Nixon, LBJ, and JFK. It's not unusual for our President to be a "corrupt fraud". So is that really the reason you don't like him, or is it something else?

How has life not been fine under Trump? I'm curious, what about your life is so drastically different under Trump than it was under Obama?

Politics are divisive. They shouldn't be as divisive as they are. But both parties practice it. It's not singular to Trump. Hillary and her "basket of deplorables" was not meant to unite. Obama and his "elections have consequences" was not meant to unite. Both sides are guilty of it. I've mentioned it before, but George Washington's Farewell Address to the Nation is worth a read. He rightly predicted how political parties would divide our country, undermine it. Our politicians are so obsessed with power, they've forgotten their purpose is to serve the country. Instead of compromising and working together, they fight to get their own way. Politics, at its best, should be about finding solutions that work for every one, not one side forcing their will on the other.

Well, they did the All lives matter, Blue Lives matter, etc and obvious they weren't Obama fans, but it didn't get bad with the pure hatred until Trump. ( need go back to their Sh!thole countries, etc) I would rather not know since I have to associate with them on occasion.

I didn't say it was. That said, if you are a hater, you could use that as a shield to downplay the true concerns of people of different races. I didn't realize that was happening till after Trump was elected and felt it was okay to be ugly and full of hate.

Edit: and I am not saying everyone who votes for Trump is full of hate or racist.

He may not be as much of an ahole as Trump, but he is easily just as idiotic. But that makes sense for the survivor of the 150 million gun deaths who is running for Senator in the great statr of North SOUTH carolina.

1. Trump has signed a couple treaties.
2. Be more specific. Some of those may not be worth it, see below.
3. Every president has. As long as we are friendly we Saudi Arabia not one is innocent.
4. Co2 emissions have continued to drop in the US under Trump. Why try and fix, and likely mess up, what is working? This is a central problem with government.
5. Health care hasnt stopped under trump.
6. Back ground checks are already required. Quit with the bs.
7. What Trump policy specifically has been anti legal immigration?
8. Biden has now gotten into two shouting matches with civilians who have questioned him. I dont remember Trump doing this. I consider in person far worse than twitter. But I am be weird like that.
9. Biden ain't unifying anyone. See the above, when you have to tell at people to vote for someone else you first interest isnt unification. And the bernie boys are going to be more ticked with Biden than they are Trump.
