2020 Primaries

Do you play bluegrass as background music when you make your in flight announcements?

Did you learn that at Bloomberg College of Farming.

Is this supposed to be a reference to something? If so, you'll need to elaborate.

I was pointing out that 'urban' votes have been vilified by some to not carry equal weight. As if urban centers, despite being 'where people live' should have less purchasing power because there are only a handful of them.

I think it's wrong either way. But as long as the wrong is allowed to continue, I would like to see the benefit from the wrong a little more evenly dispersed.

Bad calls in a football game are wrong. When they only benefit one team, the wrong is exponentially compounded.
When the bad calls are more evenly dispersed, they're still bad calls, but the result is at least more equitable.

OK. Let's distribute those bad calls.

We gave you Trump, in a national election, where we all had a vote.

You gave us Nadler and Schiff. And we didn't even have a say in the matter. That makes it pretty much a tie. So, if we throw in Waters and Abrams, ya'll are getting the calls your way.

A great example of mob rule and why the EC exists in the first place.

You did not elaborate, so your statement sounded as though if one did not live in an Urban area, they were not Americans. Actually that's pretty much what you said taken at face value, since you said Urban was code for where Americans live. Implying possibly that those un-American rural residents that feed them daily were unworthy scabs.
Took a little liberty there, but you get the point.

As to your point above, I believe the EC makes them all equal in the voters box. Since those "few" urban areas carry a very large percent of the total population.

New campaign slogan, how can you not embrace this?

I hope he drops that bomb on donny during a debate.

I'm sure it won't have the same effect as it did on the voter he told that. I'm sure ole Donny could pave the road with that one clip.

You took a lot of liberties.

As I stated earlier, the winner take all system doesn't represent the will of the electorate. You could make the argument that it wasn't the FF's intent to do so and I may agree, but carrying on with an argument that the EC gives equal representation to all voters is absurd.

Earlier you attempted to dis Trump, touting your ability speak in complete sentences and thoughts. This is likely the 3rd post in two or three pages where you have failed to transfer such abilities into printed form.

I didn’t mention Trump, and it could have applied to a number of presidents... but glad you see it that way.

Again, I thought it was brash, tough guy stuff like this that made Donny so lovable to his base... Weird how Joe is getting ripped for it by the same.

I'm a fan of the Constitution, not political parties. I subscribe to the George Washington opinion on those.

I agree, I wish the party system didn’t exist, especially a two party system... but it seems to be a natural progression and indicative of human nature when it comes to viewpoints.

Do you think that the Electoral College should be done away with through a Constitutional Amendment process?

I was thinking it might catch on. Biden, standing in front of a crowd of rally goers, says "What would you like to say to Trump and the Republicans?" The rowdy crowd responds "You're full of sh!t". Bidens says, "That's right, they're full of sh!t", to a smattering of applause.

I've never really understood Democratic bellyaching over that because the current electoral math favors them too. When you add up the safe Dem electoral votes and the safe GOP electoral votes, the Dems have way more. Therefore they only have to pick off a few of the swing states in order to win Presidential elections. Republicans have to win almost all of them.

You only see a problem because Democrats have been on the losing end twice. If Republicans won the popular vote in 2000 and 2016, then they'd be the ones calling for the abolition of the Electoral College.

I would like to think I’d be for a uniform way to vote in American elections regardless of previous outcomes.
