That alone should probably tell you to take it seriously. You think a government is going to knowingly tank their economy unless they to? Everyone of them is risking not being elected again. They are scared shitless by this. It means their medical pros are scared shitless by this. It’s not hysteria. It’s called oh ****.

Yes, I believe many leaders are cowards.

This isnt necessarily an action to stop this, moreso than it is an action to say "dont blame me."

Your last point is valid. But you and I both know if the economy in any of these countries craters, no matter the reason, their chances for re-election are slim. Nothing a politician loves more then being a politician.

State reduces info reported in coronavirus cases
The Tennessee Department of Health will no longer report the counties where coronavirus cases have been confirmed, state officials said Monday, taking a step away from reporting protocols being used by other states across the nation.

The department will from now on disclose only whether a case was identified in East, Middle or West Tennessee, per Department of Insurance and Commerce commissioner Hodgen Mainda. The department cited patient privacy concerns and standard procedures for the change.

"Our practice when we have small numbers of reportable illnesses is to give location information only by grand division of the state in order to protect the patients' identities," a TDH spokesperson told the Post.

It is not certain whether the TDH will change the policy if the outbreak worsens.

So far, cases have been identified in Williamson County, Davidson County and Shelby County. A fourth case was announced earlier today in Middle Tennessee, but did not have a county.

Trump said he is going to make sure hourly workers won't lose wages. We'll see how that goes, but that would definitely make a difference in them coming to work when they should be in self quarantine.

I don’t see how he can legally make private business pay sick leave. And he shouldn’t even try.

Now that being said, I think it’s smart for companies to offer sick leave and as of today I put it out that if you have a fever stay home and we’ll find a way to have you work from home or pay sick pay even if your allotment has been used up.

Y’all do know that there are 2 active strains to this virus and one is way more severe than the other. Outcome and severity depends largely on which one you catch.
