Growth rate in confirmed cases is low. That isnt an assumption.
I for the life of me don't understand the panic behind this virus. What idiots think they need to make a run on hand sanitizer and toilet paper, like that is going to save their life? If the world goes to crap it's going to be who is the better marksman or has the superior firepower that survives.
Omg...you can’t have confirmed cases without active testing and limited testing equals low reported confirmation numbers. There are people all over the country with real symptoms, who are flu negative, going to real doctors that are getting refused testing by the CDC because they don’t meet some BS out of date travel and contact criteria.
Once the independent labs come online for testing purposes it’s expected that the confirmed case numbers will start jumping.
So they had 200 tests and then ran out?
I don't know why they aren't testing. I dont presume to know.

Here. take a look at this. It went up on the Kirkland hospital website on Thursday of last week. here is the cache of proof

And then they took it down once it started circulating.
Again, I already mentioned this to you, but it's very possible this decision was made to prevent hospital staff being more exposed, because once hostpital staff go down, there is less care for patients and mortality goes up (that's the problem in Italy)
I have plenty of other sources I can site about the fact testing is very limited and delayed and requiring CDC approval and that they aren't prioritizing anything but the severe cases etc.. etc.. but that is very easy for you to find anywhere online.
Also, we won't get an update on new cases until tomorrow. Hopefully, testing has increased substantially.
Again, the are clearly strategic reasons for the lack of testing and those are decisions that have been made at the fed level and the CDC and maybe it's all for good reason. Nobody knows. But again, you can't have more confirmed cases without more testing.
Omg. If this was blowing up like you drama queens said it was, then 18 days in at King County you'd have hospitals overflowing with these people.
It is starting to feel like lack of testing may be a result of political pressure by the WH.
I think we have a social responsibility to NOT politicize this like you have here. Because when we as citizens start doing things like that, the people you are trying to warn raise defenses and then aren't going to listen to the warnings. We as citizens don't need the government to reduce the outbreak. With personal responsibility, we can have a major impact.
Ya know, simple stuff. Wash your hands. Disinfect things. Try to avoid lots of people and unnecessary contact in large groups.
Ya know, do Kroger pickup instead of going into the store for a while. Simple stuff.

No drama queen to it, just common damn sense. I’m wondering why you can’t seem to comprehend that the actual numbers of confirmed cases in the US is being held at low levels due to a ridiculous lack of testing. Medical personnel are requesting certain patients presenting symptoms get tested and are being told NO on testing, send them on their merry way.
Not all cases will require hospitalization so you really can’t use that as a gage. People with little to no symptoms are still infecting others because they don’t know they have it since they can’t get tested. You can be asymptomatic and contagious for up to 28 days.
Lack of testing and appropriate response could seriously hinder mitigation efforts.
Oh, like I have??????
What about Trump, who has politicized this REPEATEDLY, and usually by lying irresponsibly, as is his general proclivity.
"whataboutism and why it's a logical loser" by Septic. The guy says we have a responsibility not to politicize it but Trumpelstilskin has made it a point to do so for over a month. And a lot!
Testing or no testing. 18 days in at the origin point in the US, this is not showing the type of numbers that so many have suggested.
The original person infected had what they call strain one. The majority of folks in Washington are ill from strain two. It appears as though the number infected with strain two doubles every 6 days. Which is similar to both the situation in China and Italy.Testing or no testing. 18 days in at the origin point in the US, this is not showing the type of numbers that so many have suggested.
Well, that's interesting. Which strain is the worst one?The original person infected had what they call strain one. The majority of folks in Washington are ill from strain two. Genetic analysis suggests coronavirus infections double every six days, spreading to hundreds
