The CDC advises everyone to have a two week supply of food on hand at all times.

Unfortunately, very few folks actually follow that advice hence the current panic buying everywhere.

I’d love to know how many of the folks that have been requested to do a two week self quarantine made a grocery store stop on the way home because they didn’t have supplies at home to cover it.

If I had a company that was making test kits in January would I have been stockpiling them or selling them to China, Italy and Japan? I’d be making bank not setting on inventory that might never be used.

Not sure if this has been posted in here or not.. Email got yesterday from the Tennessee Department of Health. Does a great job of explaining a few things.

You know, of course, that you are really advocating for home testing kits? How long had women been getting pregnant before home test kits came on the market? Kiddiedoc has written at least two posts about the incredibly fast development of test kits for a disease that didn't exist perhaps three months ago. Sometimes I think we should have a video that comes on showing all the steps that take place in getting to your home every time you flip a light switch ... and the light doesn't come on until the video has run it's course ... like the ads before you can watch an online news report. Perspective is important.

So what you are saying is the next time the Chinese let a virus slip they should have previously manufactured millions of test kits ... and presumably an antidote and vaccine? Maybe we'd have been better off keeping manufacturing at home and China isolated in the first place ... since we're all gonna die now. Maybe it's better this way than going through the horrible existence and decay of a slow agonizing climate change induced death.

I told my wife the only acceptable undiluted alcohol is the pure grain stuff that Costco and drugstores don't sell. Hog would probably still drink it though.

We've got cats ... that means you are likely to see their food again ... only on the floor and not often if you are lucky. Clorox wipes are good for that, so we always have one or two of those packs from Sam's or Costco in the garage. I sure wish they'd get the dispensers right though - they don't work worth beans.

The highly sensational MSM is usually at the heart of self fulfilling prophesies these days. They try real hard to sell panic along with the "news"

I feel far better about the medical profession turning out reliable test kits than the legal profession cranking out justice in a speedy manner. Perhaps if the legal profession didn't turn the medicine into the lottery, things would move quicker, too.
