In my opinion right now....He's raw and unless he develops the rest of his game outside layups and dunks he will be a bust (in the future).

That's a pretty broad stroke statement that can honestly be made about most NBA rookies, but ESPN is propping him up already as the next LeBron and he's no where near as good as LeBron was coming outta HS. (doesn't mean he can't develop, not saying that)
I think he has potential to be as good as he’s projected, but his late start and the resulting great stats exist in a league that hasn’t written a book on him...YET. Your Shaq analogy is dead on imo. As O’Neal morphed from athletic raw freak to massive beast, it didn’t matter which measures you threw at him...he’d maul you near the basket and physically dominate. A latter day way less well conditioned Wilt Chamberlain in that aspect, tho not as sweeping a complete game. As he aged and grew bigger, that sheer bulk cost him major portions of the season. With Phil Jackson in charge, the Zen Master would tailor the season to have him healthy by the playoffs. Resulted in championships, but this lack of discipline grated on Kobe and his even higher level of drive than Jordan persona. When it came down to either/or between the two, we know who the Lakers chose. All that to say that Zion can’t set up camp in the low blocks long term...he has to expand his game. Investing in a personal chef and using the Pelicans to set up a trainer should’ve already been on his rookie move in list. Unlike Wilt with Bill Russell and Shaq with Tim Duncan, there are numerous personal kryptonites for Zion in the NBA.

What are you all currently watching?

I'm working on:
The Outsider
The Expanse
McMillions
Current Curb season

Awaiting Westworld and Ozarks, both on season 3.

The amount of high quality television these days is just insane. Imo it is eclipsing film as the top medium to tell an in-depth, fully fleshed-out story.
Watching all those but The Expanse. What’s that about?

Welp, much ado about nothing, it turns out:

YouTube TV strikes a deal with Sinclair for 19 sports networks, but not YES or Fox Sports West

"YouTube TV and Sinclair have struck a deal that will save live sports for most users across the country, but fans in bigger markets such as New York or Los Angeles may want to look for a different streaming TV provider.

In an announcement Thursday, Sinclair said that 19 of its 21 Fox Sports stations will continue to be carried by Google's YouTube TV, with notable exceptions being the YES Network in New York, and Fox Sports West and Prime Ticket in LA."
I’m Fox Midwest for the Cardinals games and it appears they’ve 86’d it? Hope it’s just temporary since they made a deal.

I'll just say this, I have been disappointed. Not so much in his on-court product (although it is impacted). But in the fact he was the #1 overall pick in the NBA draft, and sat out for four months. To then hit the court in this poor of shape, I don't know it would send some red flags to me as the GM. I get he's just 19 and a rookie, but it's the one thing he can/should be in control of when you invest that kinda money in a #1 overall pick you expect if nothing else they can at least be in good enough shape to be on the court.

He's averaging 29.5 minutes a game in these 17 and it appears to me he's using the NBA season to play himself into shape. I mean I give LeBron his due, that man is a beast in conditioning he came in straight from HS and closed nearly 40 minutes a game missing just 3 games that Rookie year.

I actually am working on trying to watch all the Oscar nominated "best picture" films for the last decade...

lol taller order now since they expanded the number of noms.

That’s actually a fun list to do for a movie buff, but going all the way back to the beginning of the Oscars. A good supplemental list once you’ve gotten through the AFI 100.

Space **** can be cool. Gotta be a good story though

Yeah I thought it'd be fun. I then skipped to the list for when I graduated HS and when I was born. I've actually seen less of the last decade than I did in the earlier ones, should be fun.

I enjoyed it very much, but like GOT, it fails miserably in the final season. And I mean miserably.

It's definitely worth watching as Bohanon's revenge/redemption story is written smartly into a true historical narrative around the building of the transcontinental railroad, so there are numerous true historical characters in the story. And Bohanon is a great character. But for some reason, in the final season, the writers turn this hard man into a rather wimpy character in the final season. So enjoy the first 4 seasons and skip S5.

I actually got this same message when I logged in yesterday and I'm fox sports south and southeast but I still have fox sports Tennessee. I really don't want to stay with Hulu. I have a few days left on the free trial.

Never heard of many of the “best ......” awards that they give.

Some truly amazing films, people dismiss a lot of them too cause they think the Oscars are just a bunch of "hipster" types picking obscure films to be different.

Sadly the bulk of the best films don't get great box office numbers, because the majority of people want an experience when going to the theater to watch a movie (myself included). I enjoy 3 types of films in theaters. Action, Comedy, Horror good drama films I'd rather watch at home alone.

This is true. I’ll give you one chance; what film should I watch that went under the radar that would be outstanding?

Give me some context to what films you like already? 3-5 of your favorite films, maybe a few of your favorite actors/actresses?

Everyone has different taste so it's hard to just throw out a single recommendation without knowing what you like personally.

I loved all the previous years, but the last year it was like "oh it's our last season, so we have to wrap this sucker up". So they went racing through the rest of the RR construction so they could end with the Golden Spike in Utah. Kinda silly love story at the end.
