I still take Stockton as my starting PG over any other name to play in the NBA.

Don't @ me.
Loved watching him and Malone play. Wouldn't disagree. I might argue a guy here or there (CP3 making a good case), but his career efficiency stats were so good and his prime years were absolutely off the charts.

I've played a game that looks nearly identical to this layout...

In the game the goal was to essentially create a virus that wiped out the world's population, this is so weird.

Live look at MoCo’s house:

100% agree. I'm not an LBJ fan, like I was never a Kobe fan. Hell, I was never a Bulls or MJ fanboy either. But I 100% respected them all as greats. Fandom is totally separate and often inexplicable (ie Browns fans). But it's just silly when people want to downplay the greats for personal dislike and cannot separate the two realms. I dislike plenty of greats (Saban foremost) but have total respect for the elite level they have attained in their chosen profession. Some just want to hate the greats and downplay them for tangential reasons.

No doubt. LBJ is an all time great. I just don't care for him.

I was a fan of Jordan's, but that was also when I was a kid. There was not social media, and as a kid, I didn't really care about what he said or did off the court. Now, as a mature (maybe) adult, my way of analyzing a person is totally different because there is more than just playing on the court. Probably why my son likes LBJ more than me.

No, we don't. You just can't stand people criticizing him and think he's the best player ever and want to engage. You call it "nitpicking," I call it a list of things. You just don't like what I have to say.

Kyrie Irving (flat earther) has done some boneheaded things (guess who his first mentor was). Kevin Durant admitted to having fake SM accounts to converse with people because he can't stand criticism.
No, its the same people that cant wait to post some blunder of lebron or the nba showing him favoritism. Im fine with the real criticism, i.e missing key free throws, sometimes being too passive aggressive, or taking too may jump shots and not taking it to the hole when need be. Not these stupid non travel calls that EVERY superstar has gotten and will continue to get. I get the flopping criticism, but people on here always want to call out lbj (posting various tweets & post this is why they don’t watch the nba anymore blah blah blah) like he’s the only one doing it. Its a league problem, not a lbj problem

In NBA champion Steve Kerr’s opinion (played with Jordan and coached against LeBron) LeBron and MJ are up there together as the two best players he’s ever witnessed play basketball. If you can’t accept that, then you need to stop giving your opinion on basketball. They’re the best players from their given eras. They’re the two best players of all time and unfortunately they couldn’t player against each other. If they could have that would have been a real sight to see.

Johnson's career achievements include three NBA MVP Awards, nine NBA Finals appearances, twelve All-Star games, and ten All-NBA First and Second Team nominations. He led the league in regular-season assists four times, and is the NBA's all-time leader in average assists per game, at 11.2
Unsure about LeBrons assist stats but LeBron has more MVP awards, tied for NBA finals appearances, more all Star games, and more All NBA nominations

LBJ flopping all over the floor....what a sight to see.

I think the other guy's point was saying he is doing that in his 17th or 18th season.

Johnson only played 13 seasons.

LBJ is only 35 in his 17th or 18th season.

I think people should keep in mind the sheer volume of games LBJ has played, he's a great. And one of the best of this era. But at 1254 games played very few greats have played more games than LBJ and he could potentially play another 3-4 years.

Jordan - 1072 (39 in last season, missed 4 seasons playing baseball)
Kobe - 1346 (37 in last season)
Kareem Abdul-Jabbar - 1560 (41 in last season)
Karl Malone - 1476 (40 in last season)
Shaq - 1207 (38 in last season)
Bird - 897 (35 in last season)
Magic - 906 (36 in last season, missed 4 seasons with HIV)

To me that's why I've always been so amazed by Jordan's career rankings since his volume of games is so low compared to others ahead of him.

Here's a crazy stat, Minutes played. Despite being in the 30s ranking for games played guess where LBJ lands in career minutes? 9th. More than Kobe, Shaq, Jordan... I just think ya gotta take into account the sheer volume of playing time Lebron has compared to other "GOATs" when looking at his career numbers. Not that he isn't great, but he's played just 9,256 less minutes in his career than Jabbar who played 306 more games than Lebron.

And literally....that was discussed. I responded and said it's why the NBA is not true basketball....and it's filtering into college. The reason Lebron is shown is because he is the face of the league, and the NBA allows that stuff to happen. But, James Harden is used as an example many times because THAT IS WHAT HE DOES. Gotta take the bad with the good when you are a superstar.

You are just super sensitive about LBJ, and it may be clouding your judgment.

They allowed clothes lining, fighting, and hand-checking in the past.
So what is “true basketball?”

i say lbj is pretty damn great and some people in here throw up their arms like i committed treason or something. I’m not the sensitive one. It’s just annoying reading the same ole same ole about lebron flopping. Like get over it and move on.

The most excited part about the NBA is the off-season drama. Outside of that it's just debating which super star is better. The only growth the NBA shows is on the amount of tweets it's generate which is a handful of people beating the same horse to death several times over.

Volnation, I am supposed to fly to Rome, Italy for 10 days in roughly 2 weeks. Should I go?

The virus is already in America and spreading. You might as well enjoy your last few months on earth by seeing some spectacular views, learn the history of other famous plagues and eat some ridiculously delicious food.

Magic only played 12 seasons because he was diagnosed with HIV. Bird, MJ, Kareem won the award 7 out of the 12 years that he played. That would explain him only winning 3.

“If you don’t agree with one man’s opinion, you need to stop giving you’re opinion” is a bold statement to say the least...

You are sensitive, look at how many posts you have made about this lebron stuff. Your response to something trivial has been irrational.

Like, if he’d stop doing it, like, we would

Lol sensitive because I’m having dialogue and responding to people who respond to me? Sure bub.

They’ve averaged almost the same FTAs per game over their careers and let’s not act like Jordan was perfect and never flopped. Revisionist history has pegged Jordan as perfect when in reality he never beat Bird, only beat the bad boy Pistons when they were old, and beat the “showtime” lakers with no KAJ. Meanwhile LeBron just flopped and complained to refs. That’s why he’s done as well as he has. Great insight

Maybe I should let you think on it. Let's start with not allowing traveling, carrying, or flopping. Maybe we can discuss a defensive 3 seconds rule.

Then, we can get into some X's and O's. Even Jeff Van Gundy this morning said that Houston's offense can be sore to the eyes because they dribble so much. But they can get away with it because they have two superstars at guard.

It's all still entertainment. We can all disagree on topics, but the NBA just wants to sell tickets and tv space. 99% of the world cannot do what NBA athletes can do with the ball, yet, they become lax with some of the basic rules because they want entertainment. That's also ok, but again, I don't have to like it. JMO.
