Francis Boyle who wrote the biowarfare act of 1989 has recently as November told 4 different news agencies this virus was produced at U of NC by a Chinese scientist named Zhengli Li Shi at a BSL 3 and then taken to Wuhan BSL 4.
He said the virus, verified by 2 specialists, was in fact a " gain of function" work product. That equals weaponized. It means the original Indian doctors who posted that it was spliced with HIV1 were probably correct. He also verified this wasn't the first but the 3rd leak from wuhan.

Ah yes, the Chinese “bat lady” again gets brought up. She’s been considered the global expert in bat related coronavirus for decades, has 126 out of 131 papers published, the non published papers are classified. One paper in particular discusses coronavirus in Asian horseshoe bats and the attempts, both unsuccessful and successful to infect this particular bat, because of its natural resistance as a host to multiple strains, with new viruses by genetic splicing of other diseases into coronavirus.

Interestingly enough, I’ve here recently seen her more commonly referenced as being “just a researcher” when at the beginning of all this it was easily found that she is China’s top bat virologist, heads their virology lab departments and is the recipient of some of their highest honors due to her work in the field.

Some more than others. If the agency is heavily involved in research, especially in a field of growing threat, a 10% reduction will have a negative impact.

That's complete nonsense. Say: they are wasting 50% of their funds. If you cut funding by 10% and make them 25% more efficient, it would actually have a net positive impact.

Point is: you have no idea, and nobody at the CDC has demonstrated that a reduction in funding would hurt anything at all. This is just another case of you whining about nonsense because "muh, Trump."

Yeah, it's pretty funny -- actually -- when these loons continually make fun of conservatives, Christians, Trump supporters, 2A defendants, etc... mocking our intellect or reason, calling us insignificant. So first, people complain that Trump put Pence in charge. A man with "no experience in this type of stuff and with no medical background". Then shortly after, Azar says that Pence is on his team and that he is still in charge but has the #2 man in government working with him and people still complain? I mean this sounds like the best of both worlds, one man with an extensive background in the medical field and knowledge of this issue and the VP who brings huge amounts of government resources and eyes to the situation and people are still griping just because its Trump. It seems some of you would like to see America suffer if it made Trump look bad, but thats what I've come to expect from the democrats so I don't know why I'm surprised...

It's not really amazing at all seeing as how the cuts haven't gone into effect.
If a 10% reduction has no negative impact, why would anyone worry about a 10% reduction in pay, or a 10% increase in taxes?

I just find it humorous that Trump, you, and others talk about the world class status of the CDC and how they will do what needs to be done to protect us, but at the same time feel justified in slashing their budget.

Pretty sure the CDC has spent tens of millions on guns, ammo, and office furniture. Seems like an easy place to cut.

Always plenty to cut from government entities without impacting actual performance. The trick is to make sure those entities cut the nonessential stuff first. But there are greedy bureaucrats in place to make sure their sacred office furniture cows dont get cut.

Duh. Have you never worked with high ups before? They get attached as the face, but all the work gets done by people who know what's going on. This allows the actual experts, no idea if Azar is but let's say he is, to do his job while Pence as VP and a do nothing politician deals with questions and PR.
