Latest Coronavirus - Yikes

Quick question, and serious: IF (and I do believe that's a big "IF") it does get bad in the U.S., who IS equipped for a moment like this? No President or politician would have any idea what to do. My hope is that they would enlist the help of the the brightest and most-equipped scientists and medical professionals to come up with a containment plan.

Since we aren't there, you can't judge him. But, that's not exactly how you guys work, right?

Now is arguably the time for him to do that.

Instead, Trump is ignoring the advice of his own experts if it means things aren't just great. And he is putting an unqualified dunce in charge of the whole thing.

It's times like these when the confidence and trustworthiness a president has established is of critical importance.
Trump has failed to establish even a sliver of either.
This has been one of the warnings about Trump's style and Trumpism since the beginning.

We can judge him on what he says to the public. His message has been: "Everything's fine, buy stocks." That's it.

EL just being her normal DA. Every President is going to say it's under control no matter who it is to protect the markets.
Cluttering up the thread with a bunch of idiot Congressmen that needs a safe place.

And, Tokyo says the Olympics are still on. Maybe you don't know as much as you think you do?

I just said it's an issue, not that a decision had been made, or was even close.

If you dont think it's a possibility, you are deluding yourself.

That doesn't match what Trump said. He said one is doing poorly. 5 or so are out and at home. Others are in between.

His own experts told him that he needed $2.5 billion to fight it. More knowledgeable expert Chuck Schumer called for $8.5 billion to try to make Trump look bad. Schumer is a complete piece of sh!t political hack, not unlike yourself.

Real experts say 2.5 not enough. Real ones, not Trump props.

I almost feel sorry for you. Honestly.

Dude, we have the most advanced infection-control agency in the world (CDC) working full-time on figuring this virus out: what it is, how it spreads, how to prevent, how to treat, and what to do if things go south in the U.S. They operate independently of the President. It would be terribly reckless for any of our leaders to incite panic when there isn't any need for that at all, right now. Trump's most important duties in this matter are to keep people calm and make sure all appropriate agencies are doing their jobs.

Why didn't anyone ask about the criteria for testing the virus? We aren't testing patients! Of course we don't hardly have any confirmed cases! We are completely bungling this. From Trump to the CDC to the state and county levels. Complete sh*t show.
